Today when I was at the gym I got held up with an idea if or not AI can be a good fitness trainer? So I asked OpenAI to generate a chest workout plan for me and I tried that workout plan and trust me it was epic, so when I completed my workout I decided to create a workout and diet plan using Chatgtp and try it for the next 30 days. Can AI be a good fitness trainer? Can AI create a good workout and diet plan? What will the result be? #artificialintelligence #gym #fitness #India #newdelhi #students

There has been a lot of noise lately about Generative AI running on device. Why would anyone want to deploy locally? Generative AI models are often based on deep neural networks that require a lot of memory and computational power to run. So naturally, they are deployed in the cloud. Drawbacks of the cloud implementation: 💲 Cost: According to Sajjad Moazeni from University of Washington, there are hundreds of millions of daily queries on ChatGPT. This many queries can cost around 1 GWh each day, which is the equivalent of the daily energy consumption for about 33,000 U.S. households. 🔐 Privacy: some companies do not allow the use of Chat GPT for generating code due to privacy and security issues. An app for generating code could run on the device without exposing confidential information to the cloud. ⏳ Real time capability: use cases like image editing for adding or removing objects, changing colors and applying filters or speech recognition for captioning, subtitling, translating, or analyzing speech would hugely benefit from running the model on device. The catch is that due to the limited resources on device, Gen AI models need to be optimized and reduced in size. This results in some drawbacks on the quality of the output. However, there is consensus that for very narrow applications, the optimized AI models can give very good results. There is ongoing research to reduce the AI computation demands through various methods (quantization, compilation or hardware acceleration). Recently our research team used generative AI to develop a digital fitness coach. You can see a video of the demo here. Soon you won't know if you're listening to the real person or their AI Avatar. This video sounds somewhat like me, but it's AI. I gave the tool a recording of me talking, and it did this in seconds. This was free. I think some premium tools sound better. #ai https://lnkd.in/eXwtkd9c

A consistent theme with new tech (new anything really) is the need for intentional focus on architecting the business to realize value from it. I liken it to getting a gym membership. The membership isn’t what will help you improve your health, fitness, or other. It’s the changes to your lifestyle such as making the time to go, how you eat, or what you do at the gym that will yield results

We are yet to see the AI boom!!!! Everyone is talking all about LLMs, but that's just the smallest glimpse of what AI can actually do in our day-to-day lives. 80% of the so-called "AI startups" are finding use cases of not AI but LLM: "How can I get LLM on any website?" "How can I get insights on my KPIs?" etc. (After a point, such startups will find it hard to acquire new customers because the use case will be limited.) Dhruva Goyal and I started working on AI back when it was not so cool. We built Ananda, an ML-based yoga posture correction app (https://lnkd.in/g_Nex598), and the issue we faced was scalability. The ML model on top of which we were building our application, Posenet by TensorFlow, was not optimised to work on lower GPU units like most Android phones. We used to be in awe of what a simple tensorflow model could do. From vizulating angles and points on our body, figuring out what type of object is in the image, or simply segmenting text based on sentiments,. Definitely, LLMs like GPT were a breakthrough innovation, but this is just a fraction of the entire AI innovation that is about to come in the next 10 years. What would help? Startups don't need millions of dollars in funding; they need millions of lines of data. I feel that sharing datasets right now is the most ethical thing someone can do. I am personally super interested in AI and IoT and am waiting to see when the Iron Man suit with Jarvis inbuilt will be made available to the public.
