Highly honoured and extremely thrilled to host and preside over "The First International Symposium for Digital Twins in Healthcare" on 16-17 May 2024 - Ayia Napa, Cyprus Imagine a revolution in personalized healthcare and disease prevention systems in Europe, based on human avatars of healthy individuals and patients for the prevention, interception and cure of disease. Nothing less is the aim of the First International Symposium on Digital Twins in Healthcare, taking place in Ayia Napa, Cyprus on May 16-17, 2024 (DigitalTwin4Health2024). This unprecedented event aspires to become the stage for multidisciplinary initiatives in Europe aiming for a paradigm shift in healthcare and for a future sustainable healthcare system. Digital Twins are making possible a revolution in human model development by leveraging data from multi-omics analyses, medical and imaging data, environmental and life style big data that are continuously updated by a multitude of biosensors at an unprecedented scale. With these complex data sets, first of their kind(s) Human Digital- Physical Twins can be personalized and used to prevent and cure each one’s own disease(s). The Symposium is calling for contributions across the following scientific, translational and policy-making pillars: • Emerging Technologies for Digital Twins. • Designing and building data and model repositories. • Development, testing and implementation of IT platform architectures combining computational advances, cybersecurity, cloud services and edge infrastructure. • Clinical Translation – Industrial Uptake, including standardization and interoperability. • Ethical Considerations and Societal Adoption. • Transformational Vision – Policy Creation and Implementation Towards Proactive Healthcare. As the Symposium’s central activity, a specially designated forum with high-level European Commission and European Parliament representation will provide the floor for productive dialogue and policy making. Important Dates: Abstract Submission Deadline: February 23rd, 2024 Notification of Acceptance: March 8th, 2024 Symposium Dates: May 16-17, 2024 #DigitalTwinsinHealthcare #ArtificialIntelligenceInHealth #EPOSIASIS #EuropeanInnovationCouncil #HORIZONEUROPE #DigiPredict #EDITH #Optimics #NeuroTwins

[#Webinar] D-8 until our next QuanTIM Webinar! ⤵ 💬 Combining Randomized Control Trial and Observational Data 🗣 julie josse (Inria, Inserm, Université de Montpellier) 💻 https://lnkd.in/dz2me6ah ------- Interested in a QuanTIM Webinar's panelist spot and a funding for a scientific conference or a research stay in one of the SESSTIM’s teams? Check-out PhD Student Award! 🎓🏅 ➡ https://lnkd.in/dvJatmMx ------- ⬇⬇ Abstract ⬇⬇ Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) are pivotal in evidence-based medicine, estimating average treatment effects by averting confounding factors. However, concerns about RCT limitations—strict eligibility criteria, real-world impracticality, and small sample sizes—threaten their generalization to diverses populations. We will developp transportability methods by integrating non-randomized observational data to extend trial findings to other populations, potentially facing distributional shifts. #PublicHealth #CausalInference #ClinicalTrials #Transportability #TreatmentEffect #DoubleRobustness Cc.
