It is amusing to watch two leaders fight for air time on a topic that they have such a narrow view on. Both Workday and Salesforce have gone public on the limitations of co-pilot strategies (including their own) and how employee experience is more than a pretty webpage. The main difference is that this announcement is limited and will not solve a company's digital transformation agenda. Organizations dont need another co-pilot but they need a co-pilot builder. At Workday SKO in Las Vegas, we have become the second most used business application globally and our competitors are not be seen any close. But don’t just trust me, go in Okta stats and check it by yourself. So when you get those great price discounts from our competitors, ask yourself why are those vendors so expensive in any other of their products, but on this one they are so cheap. Then check usage at Okta and the reason will become obvious. Specially when they claim to have as many customers as Workday, because that would be a clear indication that if that is true, most of those customer fail because people don’t use it, and without adoption there is no ROI. There is no more expensive tool that the one no one use, well beyond the one that fail to get implemented. Even if software cost would be zero, you have to implement and mantain, but more importantly, you will delay your company transformation and that is really, really expensive.
