Dianne Shugrue’s worsening dizziness and nausea was bad enough that her husband called 911. What they didn’t expect was that the former Glens Falls Hospital CEO was having a stroke. Find out more about the unusual type of stroke she had and how the Health System she had a role in shaping brought her back to health. https://lnkd.in/ezkmtv4P
This is typical Diane. Sharing her personal life to help others. One of the best leaders by example in healthcare. I am so happy to hear she has made a full recovery. Diane placed a Stroke Program when CEO at Glens Falls Hospital. That community benefited from this outstanding program, by a tremendous caring health care leader.
Diane I’m happy you were able to receive care at AMC stroke center. Glad to see your successful recovery.
Great to hear Diane had a full recovery and congrats to the AMC Stroke Center.
Quite a story! Dianne was a major influence and mentor in my early career after college at Ellis Hospital. Very happy to hear she is doing well!
Wow! So happy things turned out that way due to the expertise of AMC clinicians. Great to hear Diane.
Congrats to the AMC Stroke Center. Diane’s full recovery is great news!

7moI second Frank Cheever’s thoughts, and add: It was brave of Dianne to share her personal health history Doing so was a PSA to urge people to seek care AND be aware of what can be done The Glens Falls Hospital Stroke Program has been shepherded into an award-winning entity thanks to CEO Dianne’s support and the collaborative leadership of Cassandra Moore, the Emergency Department, Medical Imaging, Nursing, the Transfer Center through AMHS, and of course the talented team at Albany Med, with a special shout out of gratitude to Dr Ashley Telisky Dianne’s story is the embodiment of what high quality, coordinated care can do, as well as personally reaping the benefits of the seeds you have sown. My respect and thanks to all for their efforts
