To be or not to be, a Collector? In the midst of the October art fair frenzy, it got me thinking - and questioning - what it means to be a "Collector." The word Collector often comes with preconceived ideas - many of which I find limiting. It’s easy to imagine a collector as someone with vast resources, placing the practice of art collecting on a pedestal, but this can strip away the true essence of what collecting is and the value it brings. To me, anyone can be a collector. The heart of collecting lies in curiosity, the desire to explore and care for the pieces, and the commitment to preserving their value over time. You don’t need a specific "why" to collect - a love for the art itself or what it represents is more than enough. It’s not about having X number of items, collecting for Y amount of years, or spending Z amount of money to "qualify" as a collector. Collecting is personal, and its beauty is in the connection you form with the art. At Artscapy, we aim to break down the stereotypes around what it means to be an art collector. Whether you’re novice or seasoned within the market, anyone can collect art and, in doing so, support artists and cultural production. And we’re here to provide the tools and expertise at every step of the journey. Happy collecting! #artcollecting #artinvesting #alternativeinvestments #collector

i lost every art competition in 11th grade it felt like a punch to my self esteem i questioned my talent and passion but what went wrong i realized i was too focused on winning i forgot why i loved art in the first place so i took a step back here’s what i did next 1. i revisited my favorite artists 2. i explored different styles and mediums 3. i kept a daily art journal 4. i took feedback from mentors and peers 5. i embraced failure as part of the process 6. i did not compare myself till the end of the competition by the end of 12th grade everything changed i won every competition that year self reflection transformed my approach to art it reignited my passion and creativity p.s. what have you learned from your failures?

The wrap reel for The Good Lab by Micro Galleries has just been released. This program was powerful because artists do something kinda cool: authentically collaborate with skill. Artist collaboration employs a unique methodology that integrates research, diverse practices and approaches, creation, tension, failure, reimaginings, and solutions to address complex issues. Repeat. According to the Brookings Institution, such collaborative community engagement is crucial for effective problem-solving and sustainable development. Through this collaborative process, artists are inspired to create innovative works that reflect and tackle these issues. Plenty of research shows it, our work does it. https://lnkd.in/gZUc-qu5 Embracing the potential for failure, The Good Lab encourages experimentation and iterative design, viewing setbacks as opportunities for learning and growth. This iterative process of trial and error ultimately leads to more robust and creative solutions, resulting in impactful art that resonates with both the local community and a global audience. https://lnkd.in/g2h-D3MK

Student's words make my heart sing... 💖 Here's What My Students Are Saying About Course Canvas to Cash Students feedback remind me why I created this course. Her exact words- ✅First of all, I’d like to thank you for this opportunity to join this course. I liked the way the lessons are arranged so far and the sequence of the ideas while going throughout the course. ✅Teaching art can be done online or offline and it has its own benefits and challenges and so how to overcome them . ✅Choosing the right teaching method is so important to keep students engaged by creating interactive sessions for art class. Actually, I can’t wait to learn more about how to plan art lessons for both kids and adults. I liked that we will learn how to provide constructive feedback to students to help them grow and improve their skills and finally displaying their work in a digital portfolio and an online art gallery. I think that the course will add me a huge amount of knowledge and experience. 💡 Her testimonial proves one thing, Art teachers are hungry for structured, practical guidance to turn their passion into a profession. 🔥 What's stopping YOU from launching your dream art studio? I am just a message away to help you to launch your first art class .
