This year’s conference, entitled “The role of data in shaping #doctoral education”, will take place in Barcelona from 26-28 June, hosted by Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) 🇪🇸. Join us to exchange ideas and address topics such as the role of #data for the strategic development and quality of doctoral education, duration and completion rate of #doctorates & data management and stewardship #skills at the doctoral level, among many others. First big thing out of the gate for the Metascience Unit! Are you interested in the impacts of AI on R&D? How we define and measure the impact of science? Information:  Are you working on meta-research, promoting Open Science, or investigating the science of science?  We are excited to invite you to the upcoming Platform for Young Meta-Scientists (PYMS) meeting, scheduled to take place at the Meta-Research Center, Tilburg University on May 31st, 2024. The objective of this gathering is to foster connections among early-career meta-scientists working in the Netherlands and/or surrounding area(s). We aim to gather insights and feedback from Young meta-scientists like you on what you envision for the platform’s future. We aim to revitalize PYMS and its community. It will be a great opportunity for you to share your thoughts, express your needs, and contribute to shaping the direction of PYMS. For instance, some of us are brainstorming about organizing a large-scale conference to highlight our work in Autumn, but its organization and format still need to be discussed in the upcoming meeting. The program for May 31st will feature talks by participants showing their research and/or PhD projects and ample of informal networking opportunities. The exact program of the day is still pending depending on the number of speakers in the meeting. However, a preliminary version of the program can be found attached to this e-mail. Attention, researchers! The results of the #MarieSkłodowskaCurieActions (MSCA) COFUND 2023 call are out 📧 With a total budget of €96.2 million, the European Commission will co-fund 12 #doctoral training and 15 #postdoctoral fellowship programmes. Selected projects will be coordinated by organisations across 13 countries. These projects will foster high-quality training for around 800 #researchers, promoting #international, #interdisciplinary, and inter-sectoral collaboration.
