Well, if we ever thought that Notpla was a fad product or not viable, THINK AGAIN.
A plastic free alternative to traditional food service packaging should be firmly in everyone conversations. Remember, Bidfood UK continues to back this product range #leadersnotfollowers#sustainablepackaging #4-6weeks
Head of Marketing at Notpla, working to make plastic a thing of the past.
Absolutely buzzing to share that Notpla was chosen as a featured business in Lloyds Bank Business & Commercial's latest instalment of the highly successful 'Good Things' campaign which went live this week with over 1,000 spots across the UK.
So many wonderful things about this - the recognition of the great, unique business that Notpla is, the massive audience we're going to be able to reach over the next few weeks and - personally - the opportunity to work with some of the ad industry's most excellent, engaged and clever people.
Well over 4 months in the making (and that's just the bits I've seen), the outcome is more than I could have hoped for. From the first call with the team at Lloyds with their crew from adam&eveDDB, plus working with the almighty talent and lovely guy that is Finn Beales, this is a definite early highlight of the year for me and hopefully a sign of more 'good things' to come for us at Notpla.
A massive thank you to Anastasia Clausen and Kate H. - you're two of a kind!

**NEW FEATURE COMING SOON**
We are constantly looking for ways to streamline the sales to underwriting process for lenders. We are already saving lenders >75% of the time it takes when assessing businesses for lending products.
Our latest feature further streamlines that process by automatically searching key people associated to a business through various registers. This is a process currently being done MANUALLY by every lender we interviewed. A process which takes, on average, 45 minutes to complete. With our latest feature we reduce this to 2 minutes.
If you are interested in learning more about how our Spark AI reports are changing lending, please register your interest through the link in the post.
A bit of Friday fun!
Here’s our future Oscar nominee (we’re sure of it after this performance!), George Wilks, demonstrating the difference between a Spark User and a Traditional User when qualifying new business for lending.
In the video, George showcases our innovative Key Person Checker feature. This tool thoroughly examines all key individuals associated with a business, checking for multiple records such as previous bankruptcies, any associated companies, and personal IVAs.
Want to be among the first in the UK to test this feature? It’s coming to Spark users very soon! Register your interest here: https://lnkd.in/eNMGd6vt.

🐎 The Lloyds Bank black horse. A symbol of stability or has it galloped off-course?
Lloyds Bank’s recent brand refresh has flipped its iconic black horse from a backward 'regardant' stance to a more aggressive, forward-facing one. While some see this as a bold move reflecting progress, dynamism and forward-thinking, I personally think it makes the horse look a little out-of-control. Not a great visual metaphor for a bank that had to be bailed out by the public to the tune of £20bn a decade ago 🙄 .
Shouldn’t a bank’s branding convey stability rather than unpredictability?
Go I guess a question I'd like to put to my fellow creatives is this. Is this a smart evolution to modernise a legacy brand, or does it risk alienating those who valued the horse’s original, calmer stance as a symbol of reassurance?
Has the horse galloped a little too far off-course?
Drop your thoughts below and let’s chat about the power of branding in times of change! 👇

Chapter 5: The Secret of the Golden Martini
Inside The Dallas Bankers Club, Steve, Trevor, and their team blended in seamlessly with the elite crowd. They discreetly searched for any clues that would lead them to the missing Happy Hour. As they mingled, they noticed a peculiar symbol, a golden martini, discreetly engraved on the invitations of the most influential members.
Chapter 6: A Risky Gamble
Decoding the meaning behind the golden martini symbol, our heroes discovered a hidden underground casino, known only to the most trusted members of the club. Sensing they were getting closer to the truth, Steve, Trevor, and their team devised a plan to infiltrate the casino and gather evidence.
Chapter 7: High Stakes and High Tension
Disguised as high-rolling gamblers, Steve, Trevor, Al, Sam, and Ben entered the secret casino. The air was thick with anticipation as they played their roles to perfection, all while discreetly searching for any information about the missing Happy Hour. With each bet placed and each card dealt, the tension grew.
Great news from Lloyds Banking Group's Business Barometer: July has seen a sharp rise in business confidence, hitting the highest level in eight years!
This boost is thanks to better trading prospects and a wave of economic optimism. A solid 62% of businesses reported stronger activity, up from 53% in June, while 62% also felt more positive about the economy. Employment expectations are on the rise too, with 53% planning to expand their workforce, though wage growth expectations are still mixed.
Retail is shining particularly bright, with confidence soaring 25 points to 60%, marking a post-pandemic high. Manufacturing, services, and construction sectors are also experiencing gains.
Mark Johnson, Director of Johnson Reed, shared his excitement: “It’s fantastic to see prosperity so soon after last month’s General Election. Here at JR, we’re already witnessing businesses eager to invest in their futures.”
