Happy World Water Day! Water, the #1 ingredient in beer and a precious shared resource, remains invaluable to us. Our daily operations, focused on crafting premium beverages and preserving our environment, hinge on water conservation. As an organization, sustainable practices are a key part of our operations. Our core sustainability pillars, which include water stewardship, drive our 2025 sustainability goals. Globally, as ABInBev, we have achieved a 44% reduction in Scopes 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions per hectoliter of production since 2017. In climate management, 73.6% of our electricity operations were powered by renewable sources in 2022. Since 2017, there has been a 17.9% improvement in water stewardship. Our goal is to ensure that all communities in high-stress areas, especially those within our brewery operations, see tangible improvements in water availability and quality. The advocacy to leverage water for peace is a collaborative effort, and we implore you to join us in this cause to preserve our planet Earth and the environment.

This includes direct usage, like drinking and washing, and indirect usage, such as the water used in agricultural and industrial processes. Why Should We Care? Scarcity: With the increasing global population and climate change, freshwater resources are becoming scarcer. Sustainability: Understanding our water footprint helps promote sustainable water usage, ensuring that future generations have access to this vital resource. Environmental Impact: Excessive water usage can lead to the depletion of rivers, lakes, and aquifers, harming ecosystems and biodiversity.
