The OEM manufactured the vehicles that provided an #L4 driverless minibus shuttle service at the recent #RolandGarros French Open tennis tournament (May 26-June 9). The shuttles featured WeRide’s full-stack, self-developed autonomous driving software and hardware system, and took about about 12 minutes to travel a 5km route between the stadium and car parking facilities. 🏎️ Since 2021 The Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC), presented by Bridgestone, has been setting records and driving the future of autonomous racing, with teams from top universities competing globally. At Goodwood, they aim to set a new autonomous world record, demonstrating the potential of AI-driven vehicles. The IAC has been a trailblazer in autonomous racing, setting a remarkable land speed record of 192.2 mph! This year’s event highlighted the world’s fastest autonomous racecar, the AV-24, as it tackled the iconic Goodwood Hillclimb. 🏎️ Developed with a Dallara chassis from the Indy NXT series and cutting-edge tech, the AV-24 was piloted by the PoliMOVE Autonomous Racing Team-MSU team from Politecnico di Milano and Michigan State University, with support from the Unimore Racing team from Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia. This event marks IAC’s UK debut, promising a unique challenge and an exciting showcase of innovation.
