What Do You Want To Be Remembered For? As for me I want to be remembered as the woman who has a passion for grassroot development (Community Development), empowering and developing communities for sustainability, through capacity building for men,women, girls and boys. I believe men and boys will be the first beneficiaries of #GenderEquality. Traditional gender norms often pressure men to suppress emotions and display toughness. Gender equality encourages emotional openness and vulnerability, allowing men and boys to express their feelings more freely. This can lead to improved mental health and stronger interpersonal relationships. Also, men often face stigmas around seeking help for mental health issues. A more gender-equal society can reduce this stigma, promoting healthier attitudes towards mental well-being and making it easier for men to access mental health resources without being judged. It’s worth noting that 1 in 10 men experience anxiety and depression, and less than half receive treatment because of these stigmas. In summary, a more gender-equal society will help redefine masculinity, breaking these stigmas in a way that values emotional health and self-care for men. Additionally, it's important to emphasize that while men will benefit greatly from gender equality, these changes will ultimately create a better society for everyone. #genderequality #HeForShe #society #unwomen
