Hydrogen energy storage can be used for various applications, including grid-scale energy storage, backup power systems, transportation (e.g., fuel cell vehicles), industrial processes, and off-grid power generation in remote areas or during emergencies. Hydrogen can be produced through electrolysis, a process that uses electricity to split water molecules (H2O) into hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2).
