Backdoor found on Linux systems To confirm if your Linux system is vulnerable or not, just run xz -V on your Linux terminal. If the result shows versions 5.6.0 and 5.6.1, upgrade or downgrade your system, focus on internet faced systems.

The pavement markings in every drive-thru are often overlooked, yet they play a crucial role in keeping drivers safe and the drive-thru line moving along. Many drivers only realize the significance of the markings when they've faded and become unreadable. Here at G-FORCE™, consider us the unsung heroes of the drive-thru. We keep your pavement markings in tip-top shape so that drivers are never kept guessing how to navigate through your lot. #gforceparkinglotstriping #pavementmarking #linestriping

In an unconventional move, pedestrians at a crosswalk entrance to Granville Island in Vancouver are encouraged to grab foam bricks to enhance their visibility to drivers. This April Fools' Day campaign by Vision Zero Vancouver aims to draw attention to pedestrian safety concerns, particularly at the Anderson Street crosswalk. The initiative responds to ongoing issues with speeding vehicles and numerous crashes, some resulting in injuries or fatalities. Despite efforts to improve safety, challenges remain due to visibility issues caused by nearby structures. While the city has made some enhancements, such as lowering speed limits and adding markings, further measures like flashing pedestrian signals are in progress. However, long timelines for installation underscore ongoing safety challenges in the area. 👉 Follow Nikita Sharma such insightful posts!❣🙏😍 👉 Also #Subscribe to my weekly #Newsletter: https://lnkd.in/dD9ekf3V VC: Credit goes to the original creator, no copyright intended 🙏 #gowithnikita #nikitainfluencer #nikitasharma #knowledgesharing #professionalservices #linkedinforcreators #linkedinlearning #linkedincommunity #linkedinexpert #linkedinads

🚗 Traffic circles and roundabouts and rotaries – oh my! 🚗 Buckle up as we delve into the fascinating world of circular intersections and discover some interesting tidbits in this edition of #AskAnEngineer! 🟢 Traffic circles: A typical intersection – but with a twist! Drivers enter the circle at a right angle like a typical perpendicular intersection and may not have to yield to traffic already in the circle. Traffic circles often have stop signs or traffic signals where branches meet the circle. 🟡 Roundabouts: A circular intersection where drivers travel counterclockwise around a center island. No traffic signals or stop signs here! When entering a roundabout, you gotta yield to the traffic already in the roundabout. Once you’ve done that, you can smoothly cruise along the circulating roadway and exit at your desired street. It’s like a merry-go-round for cars! 🔴 Rotaries: These are the wild cousins of roundabouts! According to Washington County DOT, a rotary functions like a freeway cloverleaf, where traffic entering the freeway from a loop ramp must weave quickly with traffic exiting the freeway at the next loop. It’s a whirlwind of cars merging and exiting in perfect harmony! We also found all these circular features have variable definitions depending on who you ask. It’s just like the age old debate of highways versus freeways. We might have a specific idea of the differences, but many folks, even engineers, often use the terms interchangeably. Oh, and of course, because we are engineers, someone suggested renaming these circular traffic features with a snazzy acronym: CFCI (Circular Feature in the Center of the Intersection). Fancy, huh? So, what’s your take on this? Are they synonymous? Or should we give the circular traffic features on Camp Humphreys a specific name? Let us know! #TeamTrafficCircle #TeamRounabout #TeamRotary #EngineeringWonders
