I recently had an eye-opening experience at a Lenskart.com store in #madurai that left me utterly disappointed. Upon visiting the store to purchase a pair of sunglasses, I was excited to find two options that I truly liked. Being particular about Polarized glasses, I made sure to select the ones that met this requirement. However, my excitement quickly turned into frustration when I discovered that fresh pieces of these pairs were not available in-store. Despite this setback, I decided to proceed with the purchase after being assured by a salesperson that they could arrange for fresh pairs. However, I was taken aback when I was informed that these fresh pairs would be tagged as "customized" - despite there being no actual customization involved. To add insult to injury, I was asked to pay an additional Rs. 1500 on top of the original price for this so-called "customization". When I raised concerns about scratches on one of the pairs, another salesperson insisted that I purchase it regardless. Refusing to settle for subpar quality, I requested to see if another store had the same pair in sellable condition. However, upon further investigation, I discovered that if the pair were to undergo customization, they would no longer remain Polarized but instead be plain glasses with zero power (I do not have power). This revelation left me feeling deceived and cheated. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction, I was met with rude dismissal from the salesperson who refused to acknowledge the issue. Mr. Peyush Bansal, I bring this to your attention in hopes that Lenskart will uphold its commitment to customer satisfaction. If customization is offered as an option, it should be tailored to meet the customer's needs, without compromise. Additionally, the "one plus one" offer is misleading and does little to instill trust in the brand, as customers end up paying for both frames despite being advertised as "free". It's time for Lenskart.com to prioritize transparency and integrity in its practices to regain the trust of its customers. If you're wearing a premium specs, chances are that they have crossed one of the factories of Luxottica. They are a monopoly in the global market and roughly half a billion people wear their specs. This gives them the power to be a price maker. Sometimes, they charge as much as 200x the cost of making a pair of glasses. Competition is obliged to keep up. Hi Lenskart.com Today I had a discussion with your sales team and the experience was far behind from the expectation. Just bought a specs and it got broken. Obviously it is under warranty. The company is refusing for exchange or any other facilities to reuse that product. Not sure what that means by warranty. Simply they are saying that go and buy another one. Is there any integrity that stands with this? I think no. Non-branded companies also cover the breakage issue. Moreover, Lenskart is not at all up to the mark which products people can use. How life was before you discovered the Brand and how life is after you did that. Buying eyewear, especially the regular wear, non-luxury kind was a complete mess. You had to rely on local stores, recommendations, live with less options, opaque pricing and just sheer ineria preventing you from change. In comes Lenskart.com and disrupts the game completely. Regular eye wear buying is a breeze and I'm a regular at least. What's more, they are slowly introducing more expensive higher value options at very affordable prices...which I'm tempted to try. So they've perfected the circle of trials, up-sells, cross-sells and broadening categories as well. Plus the experience at their stores has always been fun... It seems that the company offers substandard quality products, despite their claims of being committed to customer satisfaction. They make grand statements about their exceptional customer service, but in reality, their products are cheaply made. To mask these flaws, Lenskart includes freebies with their products, diverting attention from the actual product quality. Additionally, it appears that the brands they promote are their own creations, aimed at deceiving customers. Lenskart.com initially started as an online store, which lacked credibility and failed to gain traction. However, they have now opened large outlets with ill-informed employees who seem more suited for selling bananas. These employees lack the necessary knowledge to provide proper guidance on vision and sight problems. Gone are the days when our parents would take us to an ophthalmologist who would carefully assess our needs and prescribe suitable glasses. Now, it seems that banana sellers have become optometrists, claiming to have expertise in the field. Furthermore, these employees conveniently provide detailed information about the products on display, including manufacturing details and testing processes, which is highly questionable. During the sales process, Lenskart.com promises warranty coverage for their products. However, when you encounter any issues within the warranty period and approach them for a claim, they simply reject it, citing reasons that are not covered under warranty. This deceptive behavior is truly troublesome and amounts to serious exploitation of middle-class individuals who are seeking affordable eyewear options. It is alarming to think that this company may be a brainchild of the founder looking to cheat people in our country. That’s the reason you can notice shabby culture when you walk in. I urge everyone to exercise caution when dealing with Lenskart.com and not be swayed by their flashy showrooms and misleading way of prescribing glasses. It is essential to purchase eyewear from reputable sources that possess a deep understanding of the science behind vision.
