I recently passed my 3-year work anniversary—and many (too many LOL) more years in the People field. Reflecting on this, I can't help but acknowledge how close I once came to walking away entirely. There was a time when I felt exhausted, uncertain in my decisions, and isolated despite being party of a team. I questioned whether THIS is what I was meant to be doing... or just something I had stumbled into. But stepping back led to clarity. I had conversations, I learned more about roles, some in P&C and some not. Through those conversations, I uncovered some truths: My exhaustion wasn’t burnout—it was boredom. My uncertainty wasn't a lack of confidence - it was a lack of alignment with the company’s people vision. My isolation wasn't that I was alone - it was not having a voice or a “seat at the table” to influence change. The turning point? A conversation with a CEO who listened to my People vision and said, “Let’s lean into that.” That simple affirmation was HUGE. It reminded me how powerful it is to have someone share your vision, respect your perspective, and get excited about the same things you are. I wasn't unhappy in HR— but frustrated in how my organization viewed HR. I’ll always be grateful to that CEO. They (most likely) unknowingly played a huge role in where I am today. Without them, my career crisis could have had a very different outcome. To anyone questioning their path: take the time to listen to yourself and explore. The clarity is worth it. Even if your crisis leads you outside your current path. #WorkAnniversary #Reflections #PeopleAndCulture #Gratitude

🎉Reflecting Five Years of Service: A Journey of Growth and Gratitude 🎊 Reaching a five-year work anniversary is more than just a date on the calendar; it’s a testament to dedication, growth, and the bonds formed along the way. As I reflect on my journey, a few key feelings stand out. #Gratitude: The foremost emotion is gratitude. I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve had to learn and grow, the challenges that have pushed me to improve, and the support from colleagues and mentors. Each project and task has contributed to my professional development, and I’m grateful for the trust and confidence the company has placed in me. #Achievement: There’s a strong sense of accomplishment in knowing that my efforts have contributed to the company’s success. Whether it’s completing a major project, hitting a significant target, or simply being a reliable team member, these achievements are milestones that mark my journey. #Connection: Over the years, I’ve built meaningful relationships with my colleagues. These connections have turned the workplace into a community where we support each other through highs and lows. The camaraderie and teamwork have made even the toughest days manageable and the successes even sweeter. #Growth: The past five years have been a period of immense personal and professional growth. I’ve gained new skills, expanded my knowledge, and developed a deeper understanding of my field. This growth wouldn’t have been possible without the continuous learning opportunities provided by the company. 🌻Looking Ahead: As I celebrate this milestone, I’m also looking forward to the future. There are new goals to achieve, more challenges to tackle, and further opportunities for growth. The journey doesn’t end here; it’s just another step towards greater accomplishments. In conclusion, five years of service is a significant achievement that brings a mix of gratitude, pride, and anticipation for the future. It’s a moment to celebrate the past while looking forward to the possibilities that lie ahead.

Yesterday marked my second work anniversary! While milestones like 1, 5, or 10 years are often celebrated, I believe every step forward deserves recognition. These two years have been a journey of learning, growth, and connection—something I don’t take for granted. In the whirlwind of day-to-day routines, it’s easy to overlook how far we’ve come. So today, I want to pause and reflect: Gratitude: I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunities I’ve had, the mentors who’ve guided me, and the teammates who’ve collaborated with me. Each conversation, challenge, and success has added value to my personal and professional journey. Growth: Over these two years, I’ve faced new challenges, developed skills I didn’t know I had, and built relationships that inspire me every day. The moments of discomfort have often been the ones that pushed me to grow the most. Appreciation: Life moves fast, but taking a moment to appreciate where I am reminds me of the effort and support that brought me here. It’s not just about the milestones—it’s about the journey. Never forget to celebrate your progress, no matter how big or small. Growth happens in the day-to-day, and every step forward matters. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey—you’ve made it meaningful. 💼 #WorkAnniversary

🎉 Work Anniversaries: What Do They Really Mean? 🎉 It’s easy to mark another year at work, but does that anniversary actually mean something? 🤔 If you’re in a job where growth feels stagnant, promotions are rare, the environment is toxic, or every day feels like a routine, the anniversary is just another reminder of time passing ⏳—without real progress. On the flip side, working somewhere that challenges you to grow, that values your unique qualities, and encourages you to constantly evolve—that’s where anniversaries truly matter. 💪 It’s about finding a place where you feel appreciated, where you’re learning, and becoming a better version of yourself—both professionally and personally. 🌱 A meaningful anniversary isn’t about counting the years. It’s about reflecting on how far you’ve come and how much you’ve grown—because that’s what truly matters. 🙌 #cvforsuccessgr #WorkAnniversary #GrowthJourney #BetterEveryDay #WorkCulture #ProfessionalGrowth

This past July, I hit my 2-year work anniversary and better late than never to reflect! So here are 5 key takeaways from my journey so far. 1. Things do get easier (I promise!): It's not hard to remember my first day at work. I got a stress headache in the middle of the day, and had to take a nap. I'd get panic sweats every time I had to prepare for a call, and even as I changed verticals / roles, I felt like it never got easier. But now in hindsight, it's easy to see that slowly but surely, I became more confident in my capabilities. When you're starting out, you're always starting from the bottom, which means you can truly only go upwards. Eventually, you'll look back and see how much you've grown. 2. Experiment - you need it: There's a lot of opposing thoughts when it comes to the idea of experimenting, but I personally believe experimenting at the start of your career sets you up for success later. Whether you're planning for higher education or continuing up the ladder, when you try out different profiles or organisations, you get a better idea of what excites you and which profiles fit your goals and skills. But give things ample time, before you decide what works and what doesn't. 3. Take matters into your hands: I've worked in start-ups and I've worked in corporate, and one thing that always holds true - waiting gets you nowhere. Timelines are tight, people are busy and the probability of someone telling you what needs to be done, and how to do it are slim. It's a tough to hear, but it's true. So get started on figuring things out and then chart out where you need assistance. (Doing this made me more confident and I ended up figuring my way around projects much faster.) 4. Underselling yourself does you no favours: This goes out especially to all young women out there. For the longest time, I thought going above and beyond with my work, without making it apparent, was the way to go. After all, they would notice right? WRONG! No one notices unless you point it out. You're your biggest champion so never fail to make it known about what you're owning. Keep track of your tasks and projects and let your manager know (at the appropriate time, of course). This also leads to my next point - 5. Ask without shame: The world of work is built on asks across every way. We ask from vendors, partners ask from us. So it makes total sense for you to openly ask about what you want. Whether it's the promotion, the raise, the change in profile or tasks - whatever. Don't shy away, but do make sure you have the proof to back it up. 6. It's work, nothing personal: And finally, don't ever lose sight that it's just work. It's a part of your life, but not the entire thing. Learn to take feedback with a pinch of salt (feedback, not disrespect) and find a circle for yourself outside of the cubicle. PS: here's a look at when snacks in office matched my calendar - we love a fun coincidence. #work #anniversary #corporate #takeaways #thoughts #freshers

A few months ago LinkedIn reminded me that I’ve hit my 7th work anniversary. This milestone feels like a heavier one as I’ve experienced more in the past year. Maybe it’s an overdue awakening? A belated realisation? Doesn’t matter. Curiosity has been a trait that I want to embody but the reality is that amidst day-to-day work it’s hard to remain curious. So I hack myself by putting myself in a state of constant struggle. (Probably a bit too much struggle with my part time AI Masters haha) And while it is really satisfying and rewarding, it’s also really tiring - pacing while challenging myself is a tricky balance. Especially in the last year I’ve really struggled to figure out what kind of values I want to have. Quoting Adele (ikr) “Talent can't dictate how you move. Talent can't decide how you treat people. Talent doesn't have a moral compass. Talent cannot read a room. You can be the most talented person on the planet and only make bad decisions. But character is observed, it is witnessed, it is taught and it is passed down.” Not saying that I am as talented as Adele and that was not her point but I’ve decided that I will focus on working on my character. My character will guide me. It will influence the work I do and the community I surround myself with. I’ve come to terms that as much as I want to, there is an amount to which I can accelerate skill and experience. (More like a shocking awakening by the Masters haha) At a certain point patience and time will work its magic. I’ve also come across a wider array of characters and personalities, on multiple ends of spectrums. So of course while I have made so many meaningful friends that I have learnt a lot from, there will be some that I do not agree with. Nothing much to do but to lower my expectations and raise my own standards. At the end of the day we are human with our own experiences and struggles that form different perspectives. Just penning down a few of my thoughts to commemorate this part of my life. Might be embarrassed in a few years, but thats another struggle for another time 😉 #feelinginsightfulmightdeletelater

It's my 4th Work Anniversary, here are 4 things that I needed to share: 1. One needs no motivation to do the right things. It's realisation that decides what things to do. 2. Going against the Orthodox or Smashing the Stereotypes. It's been my nature since childhood, never accepting the status quo as it is. Cut it with reasoning. 3. You should be known for your ability to get the job done. 4. A youth should always be revolutionary not reactionary. He/She is one who makes changes that best fits today's environment & condition.

🎉 Today marks my 5-year work anniversary! 🎉 The photo below is from that time—feeling a bit apprehensive and uncertain, but ready to step into the unknown. Five years ago, I reminded myself not to be afraid to take the next step, and I’m so glad I listened to my own advice. No regrets, only growth! My journey at SteppingStones has been an incredible one, filled with growth, challenges, and rewarding experiences. Over the past five years, I've had the opportunity to work with some amazing colleagues tackling a variety of projects. From navigating the highs and lows of a global pandemic to embracing remote work, we adapted to a rapidly changing work environment together, truly taking all of the changes that came our way in stride. It certainly made us all more resilient. These experiences have pushed me to grow both professionally and personally, expanding my skill set and broadening my perspective on the evolving world of work. I am truly thankful for the support, collaboration, and opportunities I've had along the way. The journey has truly been fun, with lots of adventures. Whilst this milestone is a reminder of how far I’ve come, it is also my motivation to keep learning, growing, and pushing boundaries. Here’s to the next chapter—looking forward to what the future holds! 🚀 #WorkAnniversary #Gratitude #Growth #Milestones #SteppingStones

Work anniversary thoughts... Hmm, it feels surreal to be typing this out – my 14-year work anniversary, path of growth, challenges, and countless memories. Don't get me wrong, that I was never thinking if I should have taken a different path, or if there's a grander adventure waiting just beyond the horizon. But then I remember something - I like what I do. I've been entrusted with a responsibility that's both daunting and exhilarating-ensuring Occupational Health and Safety. Working across borders, navigating diverse regulations, and collaborating with colleagues worldwide, every day brings a new puzzle to solve and a new life to safeguard. It's a role that carries weight - the weight of responsibility for the well-being of others, where a misstep could mean more than just a missed deadline. But amidst the seriousness, there's a joy that's hard to explain. Yes, the challenges can be relentless, but they've also been my greatest teachers, shaping me into the person I am today. So, as I pause to celebrate this milestone, I'm filled with gratitude - for the journey that brought me here, for the opportunities that pushed me to grow, and for the incredible people who've believed in me and walked alongside me. Here's to 14 years of learning, of laughter, and of making a difference, one step at a time. Here's to the next chapter, whatever it may hold! #worklife #evolution #anniversary
