Ronald Blasko of Výskumná a inovačná autorita (VAIA) shares his wish for AmCham's 30th anniversary. Ronald served as AmCham's Executive Director from 2018 until 2023. Among other achievements, he successfully guided AmCham through the COVID pandemic and also initiated the move to its current premises in Jurkovicova Teplaren.🙏 "Pundits often say that we live in an age of unprecedented uncertainty and at the cusp of a new techno revolution. It may be so. We do not know what to expect and are often at loss regarding how to get ready for the future. I am not an exception. But my years with AmCham taught me one important lesson. The managerial team of Alinea was invited by The Financial Times to attend the ‘Made in Italy’ Summit on 12 September 2024. Hosted at the London headquarters of the Financial Times, the event gathered senior decision-makers from Italian and UK businesses and included a high-level panel that explored the key opportunities for Italy’s export sector in today’s challenging economic and geopolitical environment. DID YOU KNOW❓🤔🔎 AmCham Slovakia opened its office in Košice on September 18, 2003. This local presence has enabled AmCham to become an integral part of the Eastern Slovakian business environment, provide better services to its local members, and launch impactful regional initiatives. In 2009, AmCham Slovakia organized the first annual Košice Invest Conference, aimed at attracting FDI into the region and making it more attractive in the eyes of foreign investors. In 2021, AmCham’s long-term efforts to bring the regional stakeholders closer together and create a platform for dialogue resulted in the Townhall KOŠICE initiative. 2023 marked the launch of AmCham's most ambitious initiative to date - "Mapping the Potential of Eastern Slovakia". The initiative has already managed to unite a unique mix of experts and stakeholders and the collaboration resulted in a position paper with 18 key recommendations to help Eastern Slovakia fulfill its potential. However, the ambitions of this initiative are much greater and long-term, as it aims to positively impact the future of the region.
