Business Broker - Medical/Dental/Allied Health/NDIS Practices & Related Health Businesses at LINK Business Broking NSW
For every shower there is a rainbow... in this case, the Pre-Fellowship Program (PFP) means that practice owners in a DPA location ... even in an outer metro area like some Wollongong or Newcastle suburbs can now support OTD's using 3GA programs to reach Fellowship. The link will be in the comments below. It replaces MDRA.. here's the overview: • Doctors will be able to practice in all Distribution Priority Areas (DPAs) including those in outer metropolitan areas. • Practices will be prioritized dependent on workforce need by the Health Workforce Needs Assessment. • Participating practices need to be accredited, meeting minimum safety and quality standards under the National General Practice Accreditation (NGPA) Scheme. • Participating practices need to be accredited, or working towards accreditation, as a training practice with ACRRM or RACGP. • Smaller rural practices will receive additional (supervisory) financial support with greater support for doctors requiring level 1 supervision through increased supervision payments. • Only IMGs (other than those with general registration) will receive financial support under the program. • Placements are for a maximum of two years. • Doctors will have their readiness for Fellowship training reviewed every 3 months and this should see most doctors shift to being on a pathway to specialist recognition sooner. • Case management of placements, and funding, will be undertaken in a nationally consistent manner. To be eligible for a PFP placement, the practice must be located within: • a Distribution Priority Area, or • classified as an Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS) or that are the subject of a Ministerial direction under s19(2) or s19(5) of the Act, or • classified as an Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service or be the subject of Ministerial direction under s19(2) or a s19(5) of the Act. Participants working in a MM1 outer metropolitan location should note that they may need to move location when they join a GP College-led Fellowship pathway in order to satisfy eligibility requirements for that program. Contact your preferred recruitment agency or Rural Workforce Agency for support! #3GA #OTDs #MMM1 #DPA #PFP

F1 at Blackpool Victoria Hospital | Aspiring HEMS Doctor 🚁| Personal trainer 🏋🏽♀️| Podcast host: A Doctor’s Insight 🎙️
Imagine dedicating 5️⃣ years to medical school, only to have your future decided by a computer-generated ranking 🫤 Yesterday, I received my ranking from the newly implemented UKFPO Preference Informed Allocation (PIA) system, placing me at 7814 out of 10,777. After five years of rigorous study in medical school, it’s disheartening to be reduced to a number by a computer-generated system rather than for my academic performance. To provide some context, the UKFPO trialed a preference-informed allocation system for the first time this year. All F1 applicants are assigned a ranking between 1 and 10,777 based on this system. Subsequently, applicants rank foundation programme deaneries and programmes, which are then allocated according to their ranking and availability. I’ll find the positives and do my best regardless of the plate placed in front of me but what has transpired is not okay. My concern is that this system might demotivate medical students from striving for excellence beyond the basic requirements needed to progress, as they now have limited control over their placement and rotations during their foundation years. Only time will reveal the true impact of this new approach ⌛️ #ukfpo #medicine #medicalschool #foundationdoctor #healthcare
