We had a fake scrutineering process to ensure that the car meets all the Formula Student rules. Here, our Structural Engineer Kirsten de Vries is measuring the minimum safety clearance required for the helmet. The driver's safety is very important, especially in the scenario that the car rolls over, and the front hoop and the main hoop should protect the driver. According to the rules, there should be a minimum of 50mm of clearance away from the straight line drawn from the top of the main hoop to the top of the front hoop. QAL volunteers recently lent their engineering expertise to inspire young people in robotics at the FIRST® Lego League competition.   Pairing a hands-on challenge with science and technology, high school students put on their innovation hats by programming Lego robots to solve real-world problems, while building self-confidence, communication and leadership in the one-day competition.   It’s the second year Pinaki Banerjee, QAL Senior Civil & Structural Engineer (pictured), has volunteered his time at the competition, describing it as a rewarding experience.   “As a volunteer judge, I’m proud to work with QAL to support the growth of young, talented minds in our local area,” Pinaki shared.   “We hope that through this experience, our future generations feel inspired to use their valuable skills to develop better technology, potentially even in heavy industry.”

This is how my journey at Montabert began in 1979. For 37 years, I have witnessed many developments, technological and organizational transformations. I have contributed to exciting projects, including the reorganization of the company's management thanks to an innovative MFGpro software, surrounded by an exceptional team. However, my story at Montabert is not only a chronicle of professional successes. Behind the apparent victories, there is a darker and more complex reality: that of an insidious shelving, orchestrated by people I trusted.  This experience culminated in a fierce fight for my rights and dignity, as a CFE-CGC union representative, facing a hierarchy determined to break me. Today, at 73 years old, I take up my pen to share this testimony. Not out of bitterness, but with the hope that my story can enlighten and prevent. I hope that all of you and future employees do not relive the same ordeals, do not make the same mistakes. In the following pages, in 17 episodes, you will discover the details of my fight against being sidelined, the manipulations and injustices that I suffered. My story is a warning and a guide for all those who, one day, could find themselves in a similar situation. By telling you these true facts, I want not only to do justice to my own experience, but also to encourage each of you to protect solidarity and mutual respect. My goal is simple: to raise awareness and encourage everyone to fight for their rights. Toxic behaviors within companies must be denounced and corrected. Today, I had the privilege of attending an insightful speech by Kavitha Anbarasu 🔥 on the topic 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲: 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀. 🌟 Day 1: Exploring Piston Motions 🌟 Today marks the beginning of my twenty-day journey where I'll be sharing daily insights into various aspects of engineering. Task of the Day: Dive deep into understanding piston motions and their critical role in engine performance.

The L90 Electric is here – and it’s making history! On January 15th, Volvo CE’s first serial-produced L90 Electric wheel loader rolled off the Arvika line. This moment marks another massive leap towards sustainable construction. It’s the first of many electric wheel loaders to come, designed with Volvo’s own transmission and e-mobility system, and it’s built in Arvika with incredible teamwork and dedication. Heading next to Bauma and then into the hands of a customer in Europe, this machine represents countless hours of collaboration and engineering excellence and is the first of many of its kind. The excitement and curiosity across the Arvika factory are palpable. Louisa Weiborg, Head of Medium Line, says the engagement and interest has been significant. “Everyone wants to be involved, we all know this is the future.”
