Over 160 volunteers recently gathered at Catterick Garrison for one of Amey's largest volunteer events, packing 2,525 boxes with essentials for Service families as part of the Move You In Pack initiative. This initiative, in collaboration with e50K, showcases the power of community spirit, ensuring Service families feel welcome and supported as they transition to new homes. The day also included a visit to Bramble Woods, a thriving community hub designed to enhance wellbeing, sustainability and inclusivity within the defence community. Since its inception, the initiative has delivered over 18,000 boxes to families across the North and Central regions, supporting the long-term care and resilience of our military community. Together, we are creating lasting impact. More here: https://lnkd.in/eNTWnWRB Watch our film of the event below! ⤵️ #CommunitySupport #Resilience #MilitaryFamilies #Sustainability

We've been collaborating with the fantastic team at The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust, which provides critical financial support to Royal Navy and Royal Marines personnel and their dependents. Working together, we've transformed their grant application process via the Lightning Reach portal to enable them to get more support out to those who need it. Together, here's what we've achieved 🏆 ✅ Faster processing: grant decisions have been brought down to just 1-2 days, so individuals get the support they need quicker. ✅ Secure data handling: sensitive applicant information is securely stored within the portal, minimising any risk to individuals' data. ✅ Better financial insights: our open banking feature helps RNBT quickly and effectively assess applicants' financial situations, removing time-consuming manual reviews. ✅ Reaching new demographics: through the portal, RNBT now reaches younger applicants and those in vulnerable situations like domestic violence. Interested in seeing how we can work together to improve your organisations processes? We'd love to hear from you on hello@lightningreach.org Read more about our collaboration here 👉 https://lnkd.in/de6fCeCs #GrantMaking #DigitalTransformation #OpenBanking

Agne’s words tell an important piece of Strategic Staffing Solutions’ story💚 #S3Cares #animalwelfare #supportveterans #strategicstaffingsolutions #strategicstaffingsolutionsinternational #S3
10+ years of experience in the CEE region, helping customers to find the right workforce solutions - Recruitment, Contingent Labor, RPO, EoR, Outsourcing Solutions and Build-Operate-Transfer services. Let's connect!
Giving back to Community is one of Strategic Staffing Solutions core values. 💚 I am proud to share that S3 has found a new way to give back - help veteran dogs of Lithuanian State Border Guard Service. The story started with Esko, an ex-officer dog in the picture below, who sadly got diagnosed with cancer and needed financial support to cover medical expenses. Our team were then introduced to "Draugo Letena", a non-profit organization, which takes care of Lithuanian dog-veterans. At Strategic Staffing Solutions we feel very passionate about supporting welfare of animals, so it was an easy call. What is interesting that support for "Draugo Letena" also aligns well with another cause S3 strongly believes in - supporting military veterans. At S3, 34% of the team are either military veterans or spouses. I am glad to see that in Lithuania we found another way of supporting this cause. #CSR #communityengagement

What does funding life-enhancing opportunities for Naval children and young people really look like? For us, it’s getting kids out on the water with our Sail Together: Youth Crew programme, in partnership with the Royal Naval Sailing Association and the Andrew Simpson Foundation : The Sailing Charity 🌊⛵️ This year, over 400 young people from serving Naval families experienced the thrill of learning to sail, coming together to meet, learn and have fun. Armed Forces Covenant We are excited to announce that we are working towards the Gold Armed Forces Covenant Award. The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation to those who serve or who have served in the military, and their families, that says they will do all they can to ensure they are treated fairly and not disadvantaged in their day-to-day lives. The Armed Forces Covenant relies on the people, communities, and businesses of the UK to actively support it in order to make a difference. The UK government is committed to supporting the Armed Forces community by working with a range of partners who have signed the Armed Forces Covenant. The Covenant brings together the government, businesses, local authorities, charities and the public in order to support those who serve. Businesses and charitable organisations who wish to demonstrate their support for the Armed Forces community can sign the Covenant. Organisations can make a range of written and publicised promises to set out their support to members of the Armed Forces community who work in their business or access their products and services. For those eager to explore how to initiate this process for themselves or their business, we encourage you to reach out to the Armed Forces Covenant for more information. Or if you require any help and guidance on your journey on becoming a member of the Armed Forces Covenant, please contact us direct on: training@separinternational.com #armedforces #business #armedforcescovenant #britisharmy #support #supporting #award #military #community #charitableorganisation #veterans #forcescovenant #militarylife #supportourtroops #militarysupport #britishmilitary #militarycommunity #veteranssupport #veteranscommunity

Before reacting to the national service pledge discussion, it's crucial to address the practicalities. Moving away from misconceptions, let's focus on the facts. The proposal includes two options: - Community volunteering: dedicating one weekend a month to supporting vital services like the NHS, fire department, and local infrastructure. - Military training: offering up to 30,000 selective military positions over a year. It's likely that those opting for military training would have already considered a career in that field. For others, community volunteering provides a more accessible avenue. Let's engage in constructive dialogue, leaving the misinformation behind. #misinformation #nationalservice #education

APOD makes a difference to the well-being of military families in Australia.🎖️👨👩👧🏠 Over the past four years, we have now delivered over $55.5M in savings back to military families, and this is a collaborative saving, where your own money has been stretched further. Paul Broadbridge, APOD CEO, stated, “At APOD, we understand the unique challenges faced by military families. Our mission is to ease their financial burdens by providing meaningful discounts that stretch budgets further. The $55.5 million in savings we’ve delivered over the past four years is a testament to our commitment to improving the wellbeing of our defence community. Together, with the support of our partners, we can continue to make a real difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for our country.” 🇦🇺🪖 #FinancialWellbeing is essential for military families in Australia, and discounts are a direct contributor to this wellbeing. They provide a buffer against the uncertainties of military life, reduce stress, and help mitigate risks associated with veteran suicide, domestic violence, and homelessness. We are proud to see that APOD has contributed conservatively $55.5 million back to veteran families, and we look forward to seeing this increase exponentially as we work with our community and retail business partners. 😊 Please visit our blog to learn more: https://lnkd.in/g7xzF9Xb #apodcommunity #veteranbenefits #defencediscounts 📸: Defence Media

As we observe another Red Friday, let's not only wear red but also reflect on the profound impact of our military service members and their families. Today, I'd like to share some statistics that highlight the significance of their sacrifices and the importance of our support. Deployment Statistics: Approximately 1.3 million U.S. service members have been deployed since 9/11. This includes over 700,000 deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan alone. Mental Health Impact: The stress of deployment affects not just the service members but also their families. Studies show that military families experience higher rates of stress, anxiety, and depression compared to civilian families. Support Matters: The simple act of wearing red on Fridays has been shown to boost morale among deployed service members. It serves as a tangible reminder of the support they receive from home. This #RedFriday, let's not only wear red but also engage in meaningful ways to support our troops and veterans. Consider reaching out to community organizations and show your support, whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness. We can make a significant difference in the lives of those who serve and their families. #RememberEveryoneDeployed #REDfriday #SupportOurTroops #Gratitude #Veteran #SupportOurVeterans
