Yesterday we bid farewell to a valued team member with mixed feelings. While I am thrilled to see individuals advance and assume new roles, becoming well-rounded and robust professionals, the departure of this particular colleague feels like a significant loss for our organization. @Itumeleng Letsolo has been an exceptional ‘developer and builder’, with an impressive ability to grasp any subject matter she sets her sights on. Her innovation and commitment has been truly indelible. Her dependability and professional excellence have been nothing short of remarkable. Over the past seven years as her Director, we have both grown and sharpened each other’s skills, leading to mutual competence and growth. Her parting words were humbling: ✨ "How a department functions is dependent on its leadership, and I’m glad to have been part of this department where we worked as a true team. We understood what other divisions were doing, we were brought to speed on critical issues organisation wide, gained exposure to everything, built confidence, and focused not just on work but on our careers and future aspirations." ✨ "To those still here, it’s entirely up to you whether you embrace the way you are being led or not, but I would recommend you do because it’s to your benefit." ✨ "As I thought about how I would want to lead and reflected on the different leadership figures I have worked under, I have certainly chosen the one I’m leaving now." We are losing a superstar who will undoubtedly continue to add tremendous value to our country. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter where we are as long as we are serving our nation.

Where the growth is exponential.

For Paulina, diversity means that we may come from different countries, have diverse genders, ages, religions, and opinions, but we should always have one common thing - respect for each other. 🤝 Paulina Ptak is one of the first female Plant Leader at ZF. When she joined the local team in Wrocław, Poland 13 years ago as Site Quality Leader Assistant, she took on different responsibilities that led her to become Site Quality Leader in 2019, and most recently a Plant Manager in Mannheim, Germany. 🚀 “As a leader, I ensure transparency and open discussions with my teams and colleagues, giving them space for making their own decisions. Who I am as a person also defines me as a leader. It is important for me to take care of others and treat them with empathy.” When she joined the Mannheim quality team, she wasn’t only the first female in her team, but she was also from Poland and younger than most of her team. It brought a lot of positive aspects and showcased how important it is to have a diverse team. 🌐 “I learned a lot from more experienced colleagues and approached problems from different perspectives. I was able to better understand the difficulties which my team members were facing. On the other hand, I consider that my colleagues can see a different way of working - this different perspective and that’s inspiring for them.” 💬 What’s also important for Paulina is open and honest communication in order to support each other. When you expand your team, you want to fill it with winners and find the best people you can. At first, it’s not going to be easy, you’re going to have people that don’t work out and there’s going to be changes you have to make. Don’t get discouraged just keep fighting to find the right people and once you start filling the positions with great people, your results will start to improve rapidly.

🌟 Moment of Realization 🌟 Today, I caught myself marveling at how brilliantly team members solved a complex problem — and how effortlessly it was done through cross-departmental collaboration! Reflecting on nearly 6 years at HENDI, it’s remarkable to see the strides we’ve made as a team. In the early days, I was often among the "top 3 troubleshooters" when it came to problem-solving or providing solutions. Now? I’m increasingly impressed by the smart, innovative approaches my colleagues develop — often with no/little need for my input, or just a final check. And honestly? This fills me with immense pride. 💪 I think, true leadership isn’t about having all the answers as "the leader", it’s about fostering an environment where your team can discover those answers on their own. Today’s example was a testament to the power of interdepartmental collaboration — seeing different departments come together seamlessly to create a solution that was as creative as it was effective. At HENDI, we don't just focus on creating top-tier professional kitchen equipment. We foster a culture of learning, trust, and teamwork that fuels our growth. It's this collaborative synergy that gives us an edge over the competition, and it's our ever-smarter and more skilled team that will continue to drive our success into the future. My role is to unlock the full potential of every team member!
