That was great! We recently hosted 78 University of California, Berkeley students at our studio as part of CS Kickstart UC Berkeley (CSK), a program dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology. It is an intensive one-week program designed to help incoming freshmen women explore computer science in hopes of recruiting them into the field. It was a completely enjoyable honor to host these accomplished young women, share a bit about our own careers, and show how design might play a role in theirs. Big thanks to CSK for approaching us, every one of the attendees for the thoughtfulness they brought to the day, and to Abigayle Cosinuke and LuRay Joy for taking everyone through a such a successful introduction to design and designing. #gooddesignisgoodbusiness #goodwillisgoodbusiness

Big thanks to The Creative Factor for co-hosting your first West Coast salon with us. What a great crowd and discussion. Read all about it below. Special thanks to Robert Brunner, Terra Kaffe founder Sahand Dilmaghani, and Creative Factor editor Matt McCue. https://lnkd.in/gSzz3MPZ
What drives creative people to display a maniacal commitment in the pursuit of their ideas, dreams, and, ultimately, creative excellence? That was the big question we explored last week during our creative salon at Ammunition HQ in San Francisco. The evening featured a conversation between Ammunition founder Robert Brunner and Terra Kaffe dounder Sahand Dilmaghani, moderated by Creative Factor editor Matt McCue And what a night it was! The event was Creative Factor’s first West Coast salon, which it co-hosted with Ammunition. These gatherings of designers, storytellers, entrepreneurs, architects, and artists offer the chance to discuss the biggest issues creative professionals face today. Those in attendance included creative leaders from Apple, Google, Meta, Gensler, Stanford, and more. Many guests have launched and run their own companies. We've got the full recap, with both Robert and Sahand's insights, right this way... https://lnkd.in/dqgAwg-i
