Key fact on Sustainable Development Goal 5 #GenderEquality In the US, women comprise just over half the population, yet 25% of on-course golfers are female (according to the National Golf Foundation). While a quarter of on-course golfers are female, ladies comprise about 41% of "off-course" golfers (including golf entertainment venues like Topgolf and Drive Shack). Similarly, 41% of beginner golfers today are female. Programs like LPGA*USGA Girls Golf have been working to create a fun, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere for female golfers. Empowering more female leaders in the game will also help the golf industry attract a more balanced audience and clientele so that all can benefit. Growing female participation in golf grows the industry pie for all, so even if we reduce its impacts to economics, inviting female golf "par"-ticipation is ultimately better for all golfers (including men!). #equality #diversityandinclusion #ladiesgolf #sustainability #sustainabledevelopment #womenleaders #golf

Is It Fair? Controversy in the Olympic Ring 🥊🏅 In a shocking turn of events at the 2024 Olympics, Italian boxer Angela Carini found herself up against a biological male boxer Imane Khelif, who identifies as female. The match ended quickly, with Carini being knocked out in just 46 seconds, abandoning her bout after enduring hard hits. This controversial bout raises critical questions about fairness in competitive sports. While I strongly support inclusivity in all areas of life, I can't help but question whether this situation was fair to all athletes involved. Promoting equality is crucial, but where should we draw the line to ensure fair competition? This isn’t the first time such a scenario has sparked debate. Previous instances, like the case of Laurel Hubbard in weightlifting, and Lia Thomas in swimming, have also raised questions about how to balance inclusivity with fair competition. 🌟 Inclusivity is vital in ensuring everyone has the opportunity to compete and thrive in sports. But when fairness is in question, where do we draw the line? 🤔 📈 What’s the Solution? While it’s essential to support inclusivity, it’s equally crucial to ensure fair competition. Could there be more nuanced guidelines or separate categories that preserve fairness and inclusivity for all? What are your thoughts on this issue? How do we create a sports environment that is both fair and inclusive? Share your insights and opinions in the comments below!👇 Follow Vinutha Raju #SportsFairness #Inclusivity #Olympics2024 #TransAthletes #FairCompetition #AthleteRights #GenderEquality

With the addition of Ford there are now 7 Fortune 100 companies who entitle LPGA events. I am not going to do the usual “AND xxx that sponsor a PGA TOUR event”. Companies sponsor events for a return. Not just because. By the way the “returns” for sponsoring a #LPGA event are plentiful. For example; cultivating better relationships, company pride, highlighting important company ambitions, community engagement to name a few. What’s missing? Brand exposure. Why? The LPGA has inconsistent and minimal distribution. I.E. television/streaming. This is where I introduce the “circle of life” as it relates to LPGA events. The fan base has to be exposed to the LPGA product in order to know and appreciate the LPGA professional’s talents and accomplishments and get excited to follow the stars (think Caitlin Clark) thus, the LPGA needs wider distribution to grow the fan base (you can’t get to know them if you aren’t exposed to them). The exposure comes primarily thru TV which is paid for by title sponsors who commit to the LPGA based on getting a return. A real conundrum! The good news is the LPGA is a great product and more and more companies like Ford are realizing it and investing!!
🗓️ Save the Date! A new #LPGA Tournament is on the horizon! 🏌️♀️ As companies like Ford Motor Company step up to invest in women's golf, we're witnessing more than just a game-changing moment. In recent years, an increasing number of brands are aligning with the values of inclusivity and diversity that women's golf represents. This investment isn't just about the present; it's about the growth of the game for future generations of talent to shine. 🌟 A Weekend of Triumph: The BTT Sussex and London Experience at the Super Series World Championship Triathlon🌟 This weekend marked a milestone for the The Black Tri Tribe (BTT) community. Members from Sussex and London gathered to witness the sheer magnitude of human potential at the British Triathlon Federation supertri World Championship. It was a spectacle of endurance, where every stroke, pedal, and step was a testament to the power of perseverance. For the first time, I immersed myself in the thrill of the live event—both in-person and virtually. The electric atmosphere was palpable, as we watched athletes like Beth Potter and @Cassandre Beaugrand delivered performances that transcended the ordinary. Their grit and grace on this global stage brought the entire arena to its feet, uniting us in awe. As the founder of the Black Tri Tribe and a steadfast advocate for inclusivity in sports, this event resonated deeply. It was a celebration of what we stand for—a world where the starting line is accessible to all, and every finish is a collective victory for diversity. Beth and Cassandre didn't just race; they paved the way for female athletes everywhere, showcasing the boundless potential of women in sport. Their success is our inspiration. It fuels our mission to lower barriers and champion the involvement of Black and Asian communities in triathlon. As a community leader, it reaffirms my commitment to empowering our members through the transformative power of sport. We are more than a community; we are a force for change. Let’s carry this energy forward. Let’s make the impossible, possible—together. #BlackTriTribe #TriathlonInspiration #FemaleEmpowerment #CommunityLeadership #InclusiveSport
