Yesterday marked a historic moment for UK sport, as over 300 Olympic and Paralympic coaches gathered at Buckingham Palace to celebrate and recognise their invaluable contributions. In collaboration with UK Sport, and hosted by UK Coaching’s Patron, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, this was the first time coaches in the UK have been honoured on such a grand scale. Coaches often work tirelessly behind the scenes, playing a crucial role in supporting and enabling athletes to achieve their best. The RISE programme continues this legacy by focusing on enhancing the diversity and representation of coaches in high-performance environments. This 12-month part-time programme is designed for passionate individuals who aspire to make their mark in coaching.
