Congratulations to our Development Chef, Jethro Lawrence and all of the other Chefs who competed in the highly competitive National Chef of the Year Competition on Tuesday. This prestigious competition is one of the most hotly contested in the culinary world and getting to the final is an incredible achievement. Congratulations to Orry Shand who came away victorious after cooking three dishes that impressed some of the biggest culinary stars in the country. Whilst Jethro didn’t walk away with the top prize, he did win the wine pairing competition and his dishes were recognised and loved by the judges. Dementia affects millions of people worldwide, impacting not only individuals but also their families and caregivers. As part of our Making a Real Difference Awards night, we hosted a charity raffle, with all proceeds going directly to Alzheimer's Support, our corporate charity partner. Grant Newton, Head of Day Care Services at Alzheimer's Support, joined us for the event and drew the lucky winners of three hampers filled with locally sourced farm shop produce. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our attendees, we raised over £3,600. This amount was matched by apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods, bringing the total donation to more than £7,000 for Alzheimer's Support. Through our valued partnership, we are proud to be helping make a real difference to the lives of those living with dementia across Wiltshire. #AlzheimersSupport #DementiaAwareness #MakingARealDifference

Last week, we had the chance to recognise the hard work and dedication of our teams, whose daily efforts make a meaningful impact. It was a proud moment for us all to come together and reflect on our collective achievements as a company. All the shortlisted entries shared remarkable stories of commitment, dedication, and selflessness, where individuals and teams have gone above and beyond to help others, drive our business forward, and make a real difference. We also celebrated our CEO, Paul Freeston, who will be stepping down at the end of the year after 25 years of leadership. Paul was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award and praised for building an incredible team and driving the company's success. His vision, commitment and leadership have been key to the growth of apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods and we are grateful for the direction he has provided over the years.
