Good luck to our Development Chef, Jethro Lawrence, who is competing in today’s Final with top Chefs across the UK for the highly sought-after title of National Chef of the Year 2024.  Hosted by the Craft Guild of Chefs, the competition is fiercely contested and has been a key milestone for some of the best-known Chefs in the industry. Jethro’s incredible menu includes three courses, inspired by ingredients and techniques that portray his personality, his individuality, and takes inspiration from his parenthood – as his children get involved with his ingredient foraging! To mark Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, members of team apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods took part in a fun charity step challenge throughout September to make a real difference for our valued charity partner, Alzheimer's Support. Departments went head-to-head to see which team could complete the most steps over the four weeks, and our New Product Development team – known as The Red Hot Chilli Steppers - came out on top! In total, the teams taking part walked an impressive 52.7 million steps – nearly equivalent to circling the Earth at the equator - and raised over £1,100 in the process for a brilliant cause.   #AlzheimersSupport #AlzheimersAwareness #MakingARealDifference

Dementia affects millions of people worldwide, impacting not only individuals but also their families and caregivers. As part of our Making a Real Difference Awards night, we hosted a charity raffle, with all proceeds going directly to Alzheimer's Support, our corporate charity partner. Grant Newton, Head of Day Care Services at Alzheimer's Support, joined us for the event and drew the lucky winners of three hampers filled with locally sourced farm shop produce. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our attendees, we raised over £3,600. This amount was matched by apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods, bringing the total donation to more than £7,000 for Alzheimer's Support. Through our valued partnership, we are proud to be helping make a real difference to the lives of those living with dementia across Wiltshire. #AlzheimersSupport #DementiaAwareness #MakingARealDifference

It was a proud moment for us all to come together and reflect on our collective achievements as a company. All the shortlisted entries shared remarkable stories of commitment, dedication, and selflessness, where individuals and teams have gone above and beyond to help others, drive our business forward, and make a real difference. We also celebrated our CEO, Paul Freeston, who will be stepping down at the end of the year after 25 years of leadership. Paul was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award and praised for building an incredible team and driving the company's success. His vision, commitment and leadership have been key to the growth of apetito | Wiltshire Farm Foods and we are grateful for the direction he has provided over the years.
