As CTV continues to revolutionise how we consume media, it's fascinating to see this trend unfolding in India. In a recent Voiro Podcast conversation, Kavita Shenoy sat down with Vivek Shenoy [Founder, ProductonDemand] to talk about: ⚡️ India's Unique Landscape: How the country is still dominated by traditional TV, and many households remain loyal to a cable connection. And what does this mean for CTV? ⚡️ Tech-Driven Narrative: How companies like Samsung are leading the charge to capture market share in Southeast Asia with innovative CTV solutions. ⚡️ Consumer Preferences: The preference for add-on devices like Fire TV and Chromecast indicates a middle-ground strategy to target audience. What do you think is the future of CTV in India? Will it overshadow traditional TV, or are we looking at a hybrid model? The future of CTV in India is indeed a captivating topic. While traditional TV holds a strong presence in many households, the rise of CTV is poised to complement rather than completely overshadow it. A hybrid model seems likely, where traditional TV and CTV coexist, catering to diverse consumer preferences. Companies like Samsung and the popularity of devices like Fire TV and Chromecast are pivotal in driving this evolution. It will be interesting to see how the landscape shapes up as more innovative solutions enter the market. Looking forward to seeing the continued growth and integration of CTV in India's media consumption habits. Thanks for sharing this insightful discussion!

📺 Reflecting on my journey in the Smart TV Industry. Having immersed myself in both the software and hardware aspects of Smart TVs for an extensive period, I've gathered some insights that I'm eager to share with you all: 1️⃣ Trend Observation: A common theme across various brands is the adoption of dashboard-oriented home screens. While this has become a standard, it's worth pondering the implications for user experience. 2️⃣ Innovation Stagnation: Recently, there hasn't been much innovation in hardware. Brands are experimenting with far-field voice control and integrated cameras, but a true market fit remains elusive. 3️⃣ Distribution Evolution: An intriguing development is Telly's initiative to distribute free TV sets. This could potentially reshape the distribution landscape in fascinating ways. 🔍 Deep Dive into the Dashboard Dilemma: From my perspective, the transformation of TVs into dashboard screens is a double-edged sword. While it offers choice, it also exacerbates the problem of overchoice for users. Brands are adding numerous widgets to the home screen, but in doing so, they might be losing sight of what TV is fundamentally about. 📊 The Current Viewing Landscape: According to the latest analytics from Roku, viewing habits are as follows: 50% of users still engage with linear TV 39% prefer streaming services 💡 The Idea: What if TVs start streaming content immediately upon being switched on? The overwhelming array of choices on platforms like YouTube often leads to decision fatigue. What if, instead of navigating through endless titles, users were presented with instant content, similar to the approach of TikTok and Instagram Reels? 🤔 Your Thoughts?: I'm curious to hear your opinions. Do you think this could be a viable direction for TV brands to explore? #SmartTV #Telly

🔊 Smart speaker owners are more likely to be streaming audio listeners than non-smart speaker owners: 91% of all U.S. adults who own a smart speaker have listened to streaming audio in the past month, exceeding non-smart speaker owners by 20%, says Edison Research. They do it longer, too: nearly five hours per day, 12% more than non-smart speaker owners. In addition, nearly two-thirds (63%) of smart speaker owners say they listen to streaming audio content more frequently since purchasing their devices. Smart speakers are home-based versions of the smartphone. They align with the behaviors and habits of modern tech-savvy users, and their role (along with podcasts) will continue to be huge. #smartspeakers #digitalaudio #contentstrategy #digitalmarketing

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐨 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐓𝐕: 𝐅𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 The world of entertainment has undergone a significant shift in recent years with the advent of streaming services and smart TVs. Spectrum is one of the leading cable service providers in the United States, offering a wide range of channels and on-demand content. However, many people struggle to access the Spectrum App on their Vizio Smart TV, which can be frustrating. In this step-by-step guide, we will show you how to unlock your entertainment experience by installing the Spectrum App on your Vizio Smart TV. 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐟 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐨 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐓𝐕 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐀𝐩𝐩 Because not all Vizio TVs support the Spectrum app, knowing which model you have can help you determine whether your TV is compatible. To use the Spectrum app, your Vizio TV must have Chromecast built-in, which most modern Vizio TVs have. You’ll need Chromecast capability to cast the Spectrum app from your phone or computer to your TV. SmartCast is supported by all new Vizio TVs, such as the V-, M-, and P-series, as well as the OLED TV. Your TV supports SmartCast if it has a ‘V‘ button on the remote. Vizio began shipping SmartCast TVs in 2016, so if you bought your TV new after that year, the possibility is high that it supports SmartCast. SmartCast allows you to utilize the TV as a Chromecast, allowing you to stream nearly anything from your phone to your Vizio TV. #technology #oled #viziotv #smartcast Read on: Click on the link below for more https://lnkd.in/dsxeD2gs
