But who is responsible for fixing a systems-level problem and building the solution? And who pays for what’s necessary to create the alternative economy? 🌍 Enabling Circular Composites Starts with Waste Codes 🚀   We're thrilled to announce that our association, along with six industry partners, has issued a joint position paper. This document highlights the need for a regulatory framework for circular #composites, starting with specific #wastecodes. 🗂️ Waste codes are crucial for developing the infrastructure needed for sustainable collection, sorting, and processing of composite materials. 🌱 Wind energy and boating are ideal candidates to kickstart the regulatory framework. These two sectors use large-scale composite components, provides a predictable flow of waste to treatment facilities. ⚡🚤 We aim to work with authorities to create a regulatory framework enhancing the #circularity of composites.
