Creamy support from Ardis Group — a delicious help for little Ukrainians 💙💛 📍The organization Save Ukraine, in collaboration with its partners, rescues children and families affected by the war and supports their recovery through various social and psychological programs. We are happy to collaborate with Save Ukraine and bring sweet moments of childhood to the organization’s wards. In August, as every month, Ardis Group delivered dairy treats from TM Zott to the children: cocoa pudding with whipped cream and cream-filled pastries. The genuine smiles of the little ones inspire us to do even more for their future — the future of Ukraine!

Children's Protection Day on June 1: A Call to Action for Ukraine's Youngest Victims of War. On June 1, as we observe Children's Protection Day, our thoughts and actions extend to the children of Ukraine 🇺🇦, who are facing unimaginable hardships due to the ongoing war. These young souls are caught in a crisis that robs them of their innocence, safety, and dreams. 🔹 The Reality: Since the onset of the war, thousands of Ukrainian children have been displaced, orphaned, and subjected to extreme trauma. Schools, playgrounds, and homes have turned into battlegrounds, leaving children vulnerable to physical and emotional harm. 🔹 Psychological Impact: Beyond the immediate dangers, the psychological scars of war will last a lifetime. Children exposed to violence and instability are at a higher risk of developing mental health issues, including PTSD, anxiety, and depression. It is crucial to provide them with the necessary support and counseling to heal and rebuild their lives. 🔹 Education Disruption: Education is a beacon of hope for these children, yet the war has disrupted their learning. Many schools have been destroyed or repurposed for military use, forcing children to abandon their education. Online learning initiatives and temporary educational centers are essential to ensure these children continue to learn and grow. 🔹 Protection Measures: Numerous organizations are working to protect and support Ukrainian children. From providing safe shelters and medical aid to facilitating family reunifications and offering psychological support, these efforts are vital. However, more needs to be done. 🔹 How You Can Help: - Donate: Support organizations that are on the ground providing aid to children. - Advocate: Use your voice to raise awareness about the plight of Ukrainian children. - Volunteer: Offer your time and skills to support local and international efforts aimed at helping these young victims. As we champion the rights and protection of children globally, let us not forget the urgent needs of Ukrainian children. Together, we can make a difference and ensure a safer future for them. Millions of children like Ali have spent their entire lives displaced. With a fragile tent their only shelter, a safe and happy home is but a distant memory. Suffering is inescapable. From rain tearing holes in the roof, to walking miles every day to attend school, children like Ali are denied a positive childhood through no fault of their own. It is our mission to change this. Day by day, brick by brick, we’re working to rebuild Syria, one village and one home at a time. Construction of our first village is already complete, giving 750 families safe, warm homes that are built for the future. We’re proud to say that our villages are more than just villages. They’re sustainable communities in which all people can grow, recover and thrive. This is only possible because of you. Whether it’s donating to our Build A Home fund, or fundraising to build a full house, your support gives children like Ali a safe and happy home. Help us rebuild Syria today. https://lnkd.in/dfuYAkZt

The dire conditions in Gaza, affecting people of all ages, highlight a grave humanitarian crisis that the world cannot afford to ignore. The relentless military actions and ground incursions are not only endangering lives but also eroding the very essence of our humanity. Every day, people who have already lost so much face further trauma, injury, and displacement. We are witnessing a tragic erasure of entire families, a history in the making that future generations will question: why couldn't we stop it? This situation is a stark reminder of how far we are drifting from our moral responsibilities. If the global community continues to turn a blind eye, we risk fostering a world that is increasingly biased and inhumane. The growing chasm in our collective empathy and compassion will only lead to more suffering and division. It is imperative that we act now to protect the innocent and restore a sense of humanity before it is too late. #savegaza #stopthewar
We repeat. A military besiegement and ground incursion in Rafah, Gaza, poses a catastrophic risk to the children sheltering there. Many of the children cramped in Rafah have been displaced multiple times and have lost homes, parents and loved ones. Thousands are injured, malnourished, traumatized or living with disabilities. They must be protected, along with the few remaining basic services and infrastructure they need to survive. For over seven months, we’ve witnessed this tragedy unfolding, resulting in thousands of children killed or injured. UNICEF continues to call for an immediate ceasefire, the unconditional release of all hostages and an end to the senseless killing of children.

🌍🍲 World Food Day 2024: A Call to End Hunger Everywhere 🍲🌍 Today, as we observe World Food Day, we come together to raise awareness about the ongoing global challenge of hunger and food security. This day reminds us of the importance of ensuring that everyone, no matter where they are, has access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food. But as we reflect on this crucial issue, we must not forget the urgent humanitarian crisis in Palestine. The people of Palestine are enduring severe hardships, including hunger, due to ongoing conflicts and economic challenges. It's heartbreaking to see so many individuals, especially children, struggling to find their next meal. On this day dedicated to fighting hunger, let us extend our solidarity and support to those in need. Whether through donations, spreading awareness, or supporting organizations working on the ground, every effort counts. Together, we can make a difference and help alleviate the suffering of those facing hunger, not just globally, but especially in Palestine. 🌱 Let's strive for a world where no one has to go to bed hungry, and everyone can live with dignity and hope. #WorldFoodDay #EndHunger #FoodSecurity #SolidarityWithPalestine #HumanitarianAid

Help give Ukrainian children a happy childhood! Every dollar, euro, or pound is a step towards helping a child who has lost one or both parents in the war to heal and recover. The war has tragically cut the carefree childhood of Ukrainian children short. Some have lost their homes, others their schools, friends and, worst of all, the people closest to their hearts: their mothers, fathers or both parents. This pain is immeasurable and cannot be healed in one day. Camp is a place where children: · Make new friends, who are going through similar experiences—giving them a sense of unity, safety, and support. · Take their minds off the horrors of war and recover emotionally through daily activities and entertainment. · Discover talents and abilities, they never knew they had, and learn new and useful skills. · Receive psychological support from qualified professionals to help them understand their own emotions better and begin the journey to emotional healing. Please DONATE TODAY and help give an orphaned Ukrainian child a better future. https://lnkd.in/dFgbBpT5

🤔 Next Monday, August 19 is International Humanitarian Day when charities and other organisations come together to advocate for the survival, wellbeing and dignity of people affected by crises, and for the safety and security of aid workers. ❓ Why should you care? 🌏 The world is a small place - a remote link-up can put you in touch with someone right on the other side of the globe in the blink of an eye - and we are all global neighbours. We rely on the resources of other countries, we welcome the skills of people from other countries, we travel for holidays in other countries. 😪 And we watch in horror as humanitarian crises unfold: innocent people lose everything in wars; children starve to death in droughts; farmers struggle to survive in the face of extreme weather. ⌚ We all have stuff going on, which means we don't all have the inclination, the funds or the time to devote to a cause but for those who have a few minutes, especially on Monday, August 19, spare a thought or a prayer, perhaps a couple of coins, or maybe find some spare time to help a charity (like Christian Aid). It's the little things. 📋 Saying a prayer, or even liking a socials post, means these people aren't forgotten; as little as £4 can buy food for someone's child; an hour or two a week volunteering means more work gets done to help others. 💖 We can all do something to show we care. It is urgent to raise awareness on tragic migration processes, in Central America, in the transit country of Panama. The jungle of Darien is, actually, a migration route, constituting a context of heighten danger, particularly, for children and women. #childrensrights #childprotection #migration #violenceagainstwomen #violenceagainstchildren #migrationprocess
A tragedy is unfolding in the Darién Gap, a dense and dangerous jungle route used for migration between North and South America. 46,000 children have crossed it this year, facing abject danger on the way. This is how UNICEF is supporting them.
