Solar and storage 🤝 Now that’s a dynamic duo. Vikings Solar-plus-Storage, one of the first utility-scale solar peaker plants in the U.S., couples 137 MWac of solar with 150 MW/600 MWh of battery energy storage to provide reliable and affordable clean energy during peak demand. This week, the Solar Energy Industries Association unveiled an ambitious energy #storage goal for 2030: To reach 700GWh total of installed battery capacity across all market segments, along with 10 million distributed storage installations.
