Solar and storage 🤝 Now that’s a dynamic duo.   Vikings Solar-plus-Storage, one of the first utility-scale solar peaker plants in the U.S., couples 137 MWac of solar with 150 MW/600 MWh of battery energy storage to provide reliable and affordable clean energy during peak demand. This week, the Solar Energy Industries Association unveiled an ambitious energy #storage goal for 2030: To reach 700GWh total of installed battery capacity across all market segments, along with 10 million distributed storage installations.  We look forward to continued work with Arevon and our industry partners to build and operate projects like Vikings - providing balance to the grid, supporting voltage, and smoothing out power delivery in high-renewable scenarios.   The future of American energy dominance starts now. https://lnkd.in/gycDxKV9

Over the next decade, the U.S. must dramatically ramp up standalone energy #storage and solar + storage installations to achieve our economic and climate goals.
