Our Emergency Response Team consists of three full time firefighters. As well, we have roughly 10 to 12 mine rescue members. I'm one of the full time ERT guys. The main priority of my job is emergency response. I respond to any medical, any rescue, any fire related incidents at the mine. Our mine rescue team is really jelling. We train more frequently than the mine regulations require. Management was receptive to it, and I think that's what makes this a great place to work. I���m learning lots. They're giving us some certifications to be better service for the Blackwater Mine. Last shift actually we did an ice rescue tech course so that was another growth on my part. So the planning that we've done for preparing for wildland season, we've been in conversations with BC Wildfire Services. We have three wildland bladders that hold 18,000 to 20,000 litres of water, three forestry pumps, countless feet of forestry hose. We���re putting fire breaks around the evacuation routes around the new operations camp that's being constructed. We've had our members on site take ICS 100. We've conducted coordination meetings with surrounding communities. The volunteers that we work with are willing to learn and when we get to go do training with them I love seeing that how happy they are after the training. I enjoy working at Blackwater Mine. It���s rewarding. A perfect learning curve for me in my first full time fire job. For preparing for a while and season. Generally speaking, the lessons learned from last year's wildfire will be applied this year. We have high angle rescue equipment. We have confined space rescue equipment. We have a full medical clinic. So right now we're just in, works with getting all the equipment ready for the season or just trying to get all the axes and used and all the tools we use for wildland, sharpened, as well as getting the pumps, started and working. So, I know, Captain Dave Pepin is, is working towards getting the plan going and just getting everything sorted for, for the season. I think it'll be a busy season for us. So.
