The biggest mistake I see fitness professionals make? Trying to be everything to everyone. Here's the science-backed alternative. Just as specificity drives adaptation in training, specificity drives success in business. One gym owner I interviewed doubled his revenue after narrowing his focus to powerlifting-specific programming - contrary to the common belief that more services equal more revenue. Key lessons from successful specialists: *Master one specific service *Build systems around that specialty *Let your reputation grow organically Want to learn how to find your specialty? These are 5 Lessons I’ve Learned as a Co-Inventor and Executive Sponsor for the www.TonalTrainingLab.com and some of Tonal 2s new Features. Building innovative products isn’t easy, but it’s truly been one of the most rewarding journeys. 1️⃣ It can start with a small group. To gain initial traction, all you need is a handful of people willing to experiment, fail, and try again. Their persistence will inspire others to join the journey. 2️⃣ Timing is everything. The same idea can land differently depending on company priorities, market dynamics, and timing. Sometimes an idea falls flat, and months or sometimes years later, it catches fire. The idea doesn’t change—the environment does. 3️⃣ Clarity beats constraints. With a clear vision and well-defined goals, even a small team with limited resources can achieve incredible results in a short time. 4️⃣ Obstacles aren’t the end. Some challenges need to be broken through, others require you to pivot, and some demand a complete change of direction. Flexibility and resilience are key. 5️⃣ Use your own product. Eat your own “dog food.” Constantly use your product to refine it, uncover edge cases, and deeply understand its strengths and weaknesses. While user feedback is critical, you should be the product’s biggest expert. No doubt there are many other important lessons, and many I still need to learn! #FitnessTech #fitness #productdevelopment #StrengthTraining

Think of a classroom. Student's don't go for the chairs and the desks, they go to learn from a teacher. People go to a fitness center to reach whatever goals they may have, lose weight, build muscle, improve their health. But to do that still requires learning from a teacher. If you have a fitness center, the next step is add trainers or programs. If you're looking to take the next step, let's connect and see if our services can work together to keep your resident's happier and longer. #propertymanagement #apartment #fitnessprogram #multifamily #propertymanager #residentretention #residentsatisfaction

This is a question for Club/Studio Owners and Club/Studio Managers who have Fitness Professionals who are having problems building & growing their businesses within your businesses. Are you looking for a teaching/learning option that can “Jump-Start” their businesses? If so, the SUCCEED Virtual Conference can be an option that you should consider. One of most difficult "Soft Skills" for FitPros to master are Selling Skills. What do you think would happen to your income if they were introduced to a Selling Technique that was "Not Stressful", that had absolutely "No Drama" associated with it, and was not based on "Price" but was based on their ability to bring "Value" to your customers? Only if you want to turn your business around and/or if you're curious, either you or your FitPro Team Members should hang out with me and the rest of the SUCCEED Teaching/Learning T.E.A.M. at the August SUCCEED Virtual Conference.
