Just because it hasn’t happened yet, doesn’t mean it won’t. When it comes to preventing violence in the workplace, having a strong prevention policy is crucial. That policy should include: ⏺ A straightforward workplace violence definition. ⏺ A strict prohibition against that type of conduct in the workplace. ⏺ Clear examples of prohibited conduct. ⏺ Encouragement to report unusual activity. ⏺ Well-defined procedures for reporting threats or acts of violence. ⏺ An expected response. California's groundbreaking workplace violence prevention law, effective July 1, mandates that all employers across industries adhere to comprehensive prevention measures. Employers are required to establish a workplace violence prevention plan (WVPP) designed to address specific risks at each site, provide training for employees, maintain a log of violent incidents, and keep records of compliance. With other states currently considering similar legislation, SOS Technologies may be able to help your entity’s WVPP through our SmartSOS™ emergency monitoring, prevention, and response security platform. https://hubs.li/Q02C5bsD0 #WorkplaceViolence #WVPP #SecuritySolutions #SOSTechnologies #SmartSOS
