Transcript: This vision I am sharing is for a future where Direct Video Calling (DVC) is possible in various services in all aspects of our lives, enabling smooth communication. It could be calling a bank to discuss finances and strategic improvements or receiving patient care advice on well-being—all through direct video calling, without using third-party solutions. Third-party solutions are not effective. With DVC, direct interaction leads to better understanding.
Let’s get together to discuss how to make this vision a reality. Get in touch with the CSD or ASL Now team; we can help.]

One of my wishes today (and this sentiment is valid for every second throughout the year) is for this map to become more light pink (and that one day a map like this is no longer necessary). #InspireInclusion#IWD2024

ChangeInkk is on a mission to unlock the potential of 200 million Indians with Learning Disabilities🚀
For us, it's personal.
Meet Noopur and Kunal—siblings, founders of ChangeInkk, and lifelong advocates for transforming the way the world sees and supports people with learning disabilities💙
Born into a family of dyslexics, Kunal is living and thriving with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLDs). For Noopur, the journey took a new turn when her daughter was diagnosed with SLDs. What began as a personal quest has now evolved into a movement—for #ChangeInkktheConversation.
Our ambition? To build equitable, inclusive ecosystems where individuals with learning disabilities can truly thrive—unlocking innovation and growth. We’re on a mission to mainstream inclusion for over 200 million Indians with learning disabilities like #Dyslexia#Dyscalculia#Dysgraphia, creating a future where no potential goes untapped. By 2035, we believe this inclusion will play a crucial role in propelling India towards becoming a global economic leader.
Since day one, ChangeInkk has been taking steady, purposeful steps to make a real difference. We started by tackling the biggest hurdle: low awareness and the heavy stigma surrounding Specific Learning Disabilities (SLDs). Our first goal was simple but powerful—shine a spotlight on their many strengths and struggles and get people talking with #Speak4Dyslexia.
It’s been a journey, but our amazing team has been working tirelessly, alongside state and central government partners, and a wide network of dedicated changemakers. Together, we’re not just raising awareness—we’re educating, mentoring, training, and supporting others to join us in this mission. Along the way, we've been fortunate to have incredible donors, advisors, and champions join us, accelerating our capacity to tackle systemic challenges. Slowly but surely, we’re building a movement that’s enabling all of us to step up and #Act4Dyslexia.
And now, as we mark Dyslexia Awareness Month, we invite you to join us in this movement. Listen to our podcast to discover more about our journey, but more importantly, follow us to find out how you can #Act4Dyslexia.
We'll be posting a daily suggestion to help you make a difference, and together, we can make the world a more inclusive place. Let’s take this journey, together, one change at a time!

This is a photo of Pak Daniel. He is part of the Elrha-funded Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB) Indonesia and the Philippines project entitled "Participatory Research: Practical Guidelines for Co-Researching with People with Disabilities." Together with Pak Abed, a person with vision disabilities, they collected data in Baluase, Dolo Selatan, Sigi.
The project addresses the exclusion of people with disabilities in humanitarian responses by developing inclusive guidelines for co-researching with them. Developed with input from organisations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), these guidelines ensure their meaningful participation in needs assessments, programme design, and research.
By filling a significant knowledge gap, this initiative promotes the principle of "nothing about us, without us", leading to greater inclusion and valuable contributions from co-researchers with disabilities in humanitarian research.
Find out more about the project in a recorded webinar showcasing the innovation, which was held by Elrha at #HNPW2024.
As part of this year’s #HNPW2024 we hosted a webinar showcasing innovations in protection sector programming.
During the event we heard from eight innovation teams addressing vital challenges across gender-based violence (#GBV) and the inclusion of persons with disability and older persons.
Our aim for the webinar was to bring these new ideas and emerging best practices to a wide audience of humanitarians working in protection, inclusion and GBV programming, as well as technical advisors, and donors.
We’ve now made all the presentations available on our website to further share the incredible work of our grantees.

Transcript: Hello. My name is Dragon, and I’m one of the Deaf customers who use Direct Video Calling (DVC).
Before I used DVC, calling any customer support was always frustrating. I recall one time I had to use an interpreter to call a particular company, and they would always hang up on me. They thought I was trying to scam them or sell them something. No matter what, they kept hanging up on me.
When I used DVC for the first time to update my credit card information, I was connected directly with a Deaf representative. I was surprised, and everything was clear and smooth—clear conversation back and forth. It was really nice. I signed in ASL, and they understood me clearly. I did not have to wait for a third party to connect, there was no misunderstanding, and I did not have to repeat myself. I was also stunned at how quickly my issue got resolved.
Let’s connect to discuss how to make this vision happen. Contact the CSD or ASL Now team; we’re ready to help.
Thanks for watching my story; join us and make equitable communication happen.]
