Today, the 6th of April, is the #international #Day for #Sport for #Development and #Peace, as gazzeted by the United Nations General Assembly. It a day to further ponder on how sport can sustainably be employed as a global vehicle to progressively realize peace and development for all!

Fascinating conversation with Daniel Millis on the INSANE power of rugby to realise foreign policy goals, change societies, and win hearts, minds and souls....while building informal-to-formal diplomatic relationships....and producing scintillating on field rugby. #sportsdiplomacy is such an obvious yet challenging field. 'We are worried about losing the Pacific to China!' (ok, so, we must play to our unique comparative advantages - sport, faith and culture). 'But confusion reigns!' - so create a new strategy or specific action plans for individual sports. 'And should we be co-opting sports for FP gains?' no brainer. If we don't, others will.
