New Licences Awarded in Botswana. Atlantis Metals Acquisition Completed. Aterian plc (LSE: ATN), the critical metal-focused exploration and development company, is pleased to announce that it has received the 'Change of Control' approval from the Ministry of Minerals and Energy in the Republic of #Botswana ("Botswana") to formally complete the acquisition of the controlling 90% interest in Atlantis Metals (Pty) Ltd ("Atlantis"), a private Bostwana registered entity holding mineral prospecting licences in of Botswana. The Company also announces the award of six new prospecting licences in the world-renowned Kalahari Copperbelt. Highlights: 👉 The acquisition of a 90 % interest in Atlantis, which holds prospecting licences in Botswana, has been completed. 👉 Six new copper-silver prospecting licences, totaling 970.08 km2, recently awarded in the world-renowned Kalahari Copperbelt ("KCB"). 👉 Atlantis hold a portfolio of ten strategically located copper-silver ("Cu-Ag") and lithium (''Li'') projects in Botswana, covering 4,486.11 km2. 👉 The original Atlantis-awarded KCB licence, announced on 8 January 2024, is 50 km east of MMG's Zone 5 deposit (92.9 million tonnes grading 2.00 % Cu and 21 g/t Ag). 👉 Three licences held, covering a combined 2,516.93 km2 within the Makgadikgadi Pans, considered highly prospective for Lithium brine. 👉 Target generation is underway, with independent consultants acquiring and reprocessing airborne geophysical data for the Kalahari Copperbelt project. GoviEx Uranium Inc (TSX-V:GXU, OTCQX:GVXXF) has secured an option to acquire a 51% interest in the Lundazi exploration license in Zambia. The Lundazi License spans 817.9 square kilometers and is recognized for its uranium-rich formations. It is part of a strategy to increase the exploration footprint within Zambia, particularly in regions known for Karoo Supergroup sandstone deposits. The Lundazi area is said to have geological similarities to GoviEx's Muntanga project, where the company is progressing with a feasibility study expected later this year. #Kazakhstan Positions Itself as Battery Components Supplier Continuing the trend of expanding its strategic minerals standing, Kazakhstan's Ministry of Industry and Construction is issuing "hundreds" of new exploration licenses. These focus on several previously untapped mineral resources in the country, such as #lithium and #nickel. Already, some countries are striking agreements to get access to the mineral resources. FQM EXPANDS CENTRAL AFRICA COPPERBELT LICENCES Canada-based First Quantum Minerals (FQM) has exercised its option to acquire the remaining two licences in the Central Africa Copperbelt from an agreement with London-listed African Pioneer’s 80%-owned subsidiary, African Pioneer Zambia. The option agreement, initially announced on January 22, saw FQM sign an addendum on February 15 confirming its decision to exercise the option over the two licences, which had not been previously exercised. These licences are identified as exploration licences 27770-HQ-LEL and 27768-HQ-LEL. Oriole Resources PLC is pleased to report that it has received two-year renewals for each of its five gold exploration licences in the Eastern Central Licence Package (‘Eastern CLP’), located in the Adamawa and North regions of Cameroon. The Licences, held through the Company’s 90%-owned subsidiary Oriole Cameroon SARL, represent a contiguous, district-scale land package covering 2,266km2 of geological terrane which is highly prospective for both gold and lithium. The Eastern CLP includes the flagship, 80%-owned Mbe licence, where BCM International Limited is currently funding up to US$4 million in exploration expenditure to earn up to a 50% interest. A 5500 metre trenching programme is underway over the MB01 area at Mbe, with results anticipated in Q3-2024 and a maiden drilling programme is anticipated in Q4-2024. We've strategically expanded our Waterlander Niobium-Rare Earth Elements Project in the West Arunta province of Western Australia, with new licences secured at E80/6005 (28.65km²) and E80/6045 (22.29km²), growing our regional footprint to more than 105km². Managing Director Mena Habib said, “Having announced our initial position at Waterlander last week, we are pleased to expand our footprint in the West Arunta region of WA to more than 100km² with the addition of exploration licences.E80/6005 and E80/6045. Oriole Resources PLC (AIM:ORR) has identified a new mineralised zone within the licence areas at its Bibemi project in Cameroon Sampling at the new prospect, Lawa West, returned 17 rock chips grading over 0.5 grammes per tonne (g/t) gold from quartz vein material, with best results of 54.50g/t Au and 38.40g/t Au. Mapping at Lawa West has also extended the mineralised strike length of to 6 kilometres increasing the total mineralised trend at Bibemi to 17 Km. Partner BCM International is currently funding up to US$4 million in exploration expenditure in return for up to a 50% interest in the project.
