With rising renewable generation, maintaining grid stability through the DS3 programme is getting more complex. From 1 October 2024, reductions to the Temporal Scarcity Scalar (TSS) will impact battery storage revenues, but profitability remains strong with IRRs at 13.6%. However, further cuts may be on the horizon. To sustain investment, improving market access for battery storage is critical to creating new revenue streams beyond DS3. 🎉 Congratulations to green energy producer GoldenPeaks Capital on their successful partnership with leading energy transition bank NORD/LB to develop two large-scale solar park portfolios. €109m in financing will support the construction of over 100 solar farms with a combined capacity of 177MW - a significant boost to Poland's renewable energy industry. We are delighted that our energy market analytics were used to obtain financing for the project.
