Updates on Manitoba PNP for 2024 In Manitoba, workers and students aiming for Permanent Resident status through the MPNP program are growing frustrated. To streamline processes, MPNP is expanding its team and budget, prioritizing applicants with expiring work permits (PGWP or CUAET), and showing flexibility to Ukrainian applicants encountering document hurdles. We’ve approved a temporary measure to extend temporary resident status for potential nominees identified under Manitoba’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) who have work permits expiring in 2024. These skilled workers are filling key job vacancies in Manitoba, and actively contributing to the province’s economy and diverse cultural fabric. This temporary measure will authorize 6,700 temporary workers identified and supported by Manitoba to continue working while the province considers their PNP applications.
