Autonation is a SCAM! I purchased a vehicle 3 months ago and the next day it made an awful noise and check engine light came on. When I took it back to autonation the very next day, the service dept said their was absolutely nothing wrong with the car. Took it somewhere else and they said 6k worth of repairs! (Bad engine mounts, control arms separated, etc) I still don’t have the car, autonation hasn’t acknowledged whether they will fix it or not. I don’t even want the car anymore. I just want to be done dealing with this company

What’s the best way to cover the territory of a sales rep on parental leave?
In December, we hired a pregnant sales rep. And soon, she’ll be going on parental leave!
This is how we’re currently thinking about coverage:
🏋️ Her manager will take over (most of) her pipeline - and I'll take a few deals myself too
💰 She will get full credit for all deals closed from her pipeline while she is out (no splitting commission, no double-paying since no rep will be put on this pipeline)
💻 We are hiring a part-time temp sales rep to set meetings, hold intro calls and build top of funnel for her while she is out (this is a former Parentaly sales rep who we love and continue to work with as a contractor)
Important to note: our sales cycle is LONG (6-18 months).
The goal with this plan is to ensure that the pregnant AE does not miss out on commission for all of her hard work to date, and also avoid her returning to work after four months out with zero new pipeline.
I know this is a hot topic many of us have dealt with many times … would love to hear folks’ thoughts!

Alright y'all, quick update for everyone here.
The response to this post was incredible! The number of people who reshared and referred people they know just reinforces the power of this network to do good for others.
Some quick stats:
In 48 hours I received over 400 connection requests
I received close to 150 Direct Messages, only about 37.5%, and I read every one.
Only 46 poeple sent email, 11.5%
I was surprised that only 22 calls were made to me, and of that I only received 9 voicemails, 2.25%
I also received 10 referral candidates from people I know and trust
I have pulled a pool of 20 candidates to begin the interview process of those:
- All of the 10 referrals are getting a shot
- Two of the best voicemails are getting in
- The other 8 sent messages telling me why they are exceptional
The point here is that in a crowded market, you need to find a way to stand out. Lazy messaging and zero follow up are not going to cut it. These posts offer hiring managers a work sample to review before anything else, use it wisely!
