These magnificent creatures are known for their social structure, living in groups called prides, which typically consist of related females, their cubs, and a few dominant males. One of the most distinctive features of lions is their vocalization. Lions communicate through a variety of sounds, but their most famous call is the roar. A lion's roar can be heard up to five miles away and serves multiple purposes: it establishes territory, communicates with pride members, and can intimidate rivals. The roar is a deep, resonant sound that can convey strength and dominance, making it an essential aspect of their social behavior. In addition to roaring, lions also use growls, grunts, and moans to communicate with one another, especially during interactions within the pride. These vocalizations play a crucial role in maintaining social bonds and coordinating group activities, such as hunting and caring for cubs. What is your favourite animal(s)? What do they teach you? Mine is Sea turtles. Not only they are beautiful and cute to watch but they teach us valuable life lessons through their behaviors and journeys. They demonstrate resilience and perseverance, by traveling thousands of miles to return to their birthplace to lay eggs. This inspire us to stay focused on our goals despite challenges. Sea turtles ilústrate patience and adaptability by moving slowly but thriving in different environments which remind us that life is not a race. By returning to their roots to nest, sea turtles pin point the importance of staying grounded and connected to where we come from. Riding ocean currents efficiently, they teach us to work with life’s flow instead of resisting it. With their long lifespans, they symbolize wisdom and the value of long-term thinking. Sea turtles inspire us to navigate life with determination, patience, and grace.

Tough times do not last forever. But, they are rarely over quickly. Coping with tough times requires us to foster perseverance and endurance. Here is a story of resilience, endurance, leadership and the human spirit to never give up. In 1914, Sir Ernest Shackleton embarked on an ambitious expedition to traverse Antarctica. Aiming to be the first to cross the icy continent, he and his crew of 27 men boarded the ship Endurance. The journey was far from what they expected! ⛳ One month into the journey, the ship got trapped in the dense pack ice of the Weddell Sea. ⛳ For ten months, the ship drifted with the ice and the weather in Antarctica was only getting bad. ⛳ The ship crushed and sank into the sea, leaving the crew stranded in floating ice. Next, they had to help themselves with no ship or rescue in sight. 🚩 The crew began to march across the ice to the nearest land, dragging their lifeboat and supplies. 🚩 Navigating through the perilous sea they reached Elephant Island. 🚩 Realizing that Elephant Island was too remote, he and 5 of his men decided to make an 800-mile journey to another island with a whaling station. 🚩 After 17 days of relentless rowing and navigation, facing extreme winds and waves, they reached the island. 🚩 Unfortunately they ended up on the uninhabited side of the island and had to trek over mountains and glaciers for 36 hours to reach the whaling station. 🚩 They finally reached alive but exhausted. 🚩 Shackleton immediately organized a rescue operation for those left in Elephant Island and all of his men survived the ordeal. If the lion perceives humans as a threat—whether due to past negative experiences, the presence of unfamiliar sounds, or the instinctual drive to protect itself—it may choose to flee rather than confront the perceived danger. This flight response is a survival mechanism that helps ensure the lion's safety in the wild. 2024 was a tough year for educational institutions. Changes in government immigration policies have caused Schools to restructure,redesign programs and find alternate revenue streams.
