Real pleasure to attend the #GASummit 50 this week. Thanks for the invitation Adrita Bhattacharya-Craven. Great discussion Melissa Leitner Niti Pall and Daniel Zimmerman, M.D. Interesting to see how this sector is wrestling to transition the model from episodic sickness care towards prevention and health creation. There are specific areas where learning across the insurance and public sector would be beneficial, including skills (actuarial models urgently needed if we want to create integrated care), the ability to use data to derive insights (where the public sector has much more data but mostly underused), and adoption of innovation (#fintech and #insurtech). I'm also struck by how similar the discussions in this sector are compared to pharma. Both are looking for more integrated and personalised solutions. This is also where progressive public sector models are headed. Much in common but little collaboration (yet?). We all hold parts of the puzzle. Look forward to continue the discussion.

Technology is making health protection more accessible, enabling healthcare personalisation, and giving people access to knowledge. But challenges remain to realising technology's full potential in the health space. A panel on 'The Future of Health' at #GASummit 50 this week, with Melissa Leitner (Swiss Re), Axel Heitmueller (Imperial College Health Partners), Niti Pall (Harbr), and Daniel Zimmerman, M.D. (Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated), explored this topic. Great to have you here Axel Heitmueller. And yes, let's hope this is the first of many discussions.
