The reciprocal visit by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was a wonderful opportunity to discuss the importance of grass roots collaboration between NHS Hospital Trusts to advance research and innovation. But why is direct collaboration so crucial? Simply put, when Trusts work together directly on R&I projects, we can: Foster More Effective Collaboration: By bypassing intermediaries and working directly with one another, we can share knowledge, expertise, and resources more efficiently. Reduce Barriers to Entry: Direct collaboration allows us to overcome traditional barriers to innovation, such as funding limitations or bureaucracy, and get straight to the heart of solving real-world problems. Increase Speed to Market: By working together directly, we can accelerate the development and implementation of new solutions, getting them into clinical practice faster and improving patient outcomes sooner. Enhance Patient-Centred Care: Direct collaboration enables us to co-design care pathways that are tailored to the unique needs of our patients, ultimately leading to better health outcomes and improved experiences. Drive Sustainability: By working together directly on R&I projects, we can create sustainable solutions that benefit not just individual Trusts but the entire healthcare system. As NHS Trusts, I believe it's time for us to take a more proactive approach to R&I. By collaborating directly with one another, we can unlock new possibilities, drive innovation, and ultimately improve patient care. I'd love to hear thoughts from colleagues across the network, and please don't hesitate to contact me if you want to arrange a meeting to discuss further. #RnI #Collaboration #NHS #TrustsWorkingTogether #PatientCare #Innovation #Sustainability Claire R. 🌟 Mid-Year Reflection: From Clinical to Strategic 🌟 👩⚕️ As I pause to reflect on the first half of this year, I find myself at a pivotal juncture. Leaving behind the familiar corridors of the NHS, I embarked on a new journey—one that blends my clinical expertise with a strategic vision. 🌐 🔍 A Shift in Perspective: In my new role, I’ve discovered that my clinical mindset isn’t left behind; it’s an integral part of my strategic toolkit. By understanding patient needs at a granular level, I can now shape services and initiatives that truly make a difference. 🌿 🌎 Broadening Impact: The scope of my work has expanded. No longer confined to individual patient interactions, I now influence healthcare delivery across a wider canvas. It’s exhilarating to know that my decisions ripple through the community, ensuring timely care by the right clinicians. ⏰💙 🚀 Just the Beginning: This transition is merely the prologue. I’m fueled by the prospect of what lies ahead. The impact I’ve made so far is a stepping stone—a foundation for greater achievements. 🌟 🙏 Gratitude: A heartfelt thank you to , South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust , and Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust. StrategyGen Co. (SBA Certified HUBZone Small Business) has seen many changes in the decades we have worked in healthcare, but the one thing that has never changed is our appreciation for the people on the front line. The doctors, nurses, and staff make visits to the hospital bearable. During PX Week, healthcare organizations worldwide join together to acknowledge achievements, re-energize their efforts, and express gratitude to those who shape the patient's journey. It’s a time to foster stronger patient-staff relations, boost hospital morale, and enhance communication. By supporting this initiative, organizations demonstrate appreciation for their hardworking employees and encourage continued dedication to patient well-being. It’s an opportunity to celebrate accomplishments, strengthen bonds, and elevate the human connection that lies at the heart of healthcare. Patient Experience Institute, Michael A. Came across this quote in Becker's Hospital Review from 𝐃𝐫. 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐲, Chief Operating Officer of University Hospitals. Healthcare buzzwords executives are tired of hearing: https://lnkd.in/g57TW-pf 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞. "'Value-based care' has strayed far from its original intent to align healthcare delivery incentives with the interests of patients, to improve patient outcomes and to create real value in healthcare. 'Value-based care' has increasingly become a financial construct, more focused on managing reimbursement models than on patient well-being. What was once a philosophy centered on enhancing patient care has been reduced to a polarizing buzzword that exemplifies the lack of alignment between the financial and delivery elements of the healthcare system." Many of you may recall Dr. Hinchey had a wonderful EMS career in some of the best EMS systems in the country, and as the former Associate Medical Director for National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians. Way to go, Dr. Hinchey! https://lnkd.in/g5qs-U2T

👩🔧 Digital Coaching and Capacity Creation 📱 One of the most consistent themes/challenges in healthcare at present relates to workforce. Enter Holly Health, a Digital Health Coach focussed on habit-forming through simple engagement, education and achievement.
