The last several days I've called on some partners to help me with several things and have to give them a shout out - this is just a sample of what every week looks like in my office. AMAZING partnerships as we seek to take care of our clients! Scenario one - Matthew Connelly Melora Hathaway - I needed some information and advice from the team at Tempe Tourism Office not only did I get a text and phone call....but a follow-up email during a time crunch late on Friday! Scenario two - over the weekend it became clear a storm might impact a site visit - not in the state the site visit is taking, but the return of client to home. I sent an email to Tracy FitzGerald Squires with Hyatt Regency Bellevue on Seattle's Eastside to make sure we had a contingency plan and she answered within minutes to assure a room is available if needed. Scenario three - in the middle of negotiating an agreement with Chris Alex at Peppermill Resort Spa Casino and caught an error (again, late on a Friday afternoon) - he answered his phone and my text quickly and we were able to get the agreement moved along. Having strong relationships with our partners allow us to better serve our clients - our clients enjoy confidence that one call will get results. This allows them to focus on their primary role of event design, their stakeholders needs etc. while not adding to their to-do list. These are the reasons I personally answer every email from hotels and destinations (if they are not bulk advertising or update messages). Having a collaborative and respectful relationship with our partners creates an atmosphere of trust.
