Great project that illustrates just how effective the SKIPPER NDT drone-based technology solution is for complex river crossing applications.

As Gasunie puts it: Access to energy, always. And we could add everywhere even over a 1.8km river crossing ! Energy networks cross entire countries to provide access to energy. Sometimes they end up being in complex environments to access such as river crossings. SKIPPER NDT had the opportunity to support Gasunie operations by deploying its drone-based pipeline mapping technology over a distance of 1.8km on a river. The result ? A high precision pipeline geospatial positioning with minimal logistical constraints. Great project and illustration of our drone-based technology for river crossing applications. 

A new 24m x 4m Norsepower Rotor Sail™ will soon hit the high seas to power Baltrader and BRISE’s green transition. The installation will be onboard the newbuild vessel, M/V CEMCOMMANDER, which has won the trust and support of the German Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport's NaMKü project. With the data collected and verified from eight ships already, as well as advanced simulations, Norsepower projects fuel and emissions reductions of up to 14%. This will minimize the carbon footprint of the cement sector’s supply chain - helping save the planet with each spin. Fincantieri to build methanol-ready hybrid CSOVs for Windward Offshore consortium CSOVs will be equipped with a hybrid battery system and they will also be prepared for future operation on green methanol bunker fuel. Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri on Monday (22 January) said the Windward Offshore consortium has exercised options, which were contained in the contract signed with Vard in October 2023, for the design and construction of two hybrid Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs). As part of the order, the number of units ordered from the Fincantieri group's Norwegian subsidiary Vard rises to four. The first two hybrid CSOVs will be delivered in Q3 2025 and Q1 2026, the other two vessels for Windward Offshore are scheduled for delivery in Q2 and Q3 2026. They will support energy majors globally in constructing, commissioning, and maintaining offshore wind parks. The 87.5-metre-long vessels will have a beam of 19.5 metres and will be equipped with a height-adjustable motion-compensated gangway with an elevator system, and a height-adjustable boat landing system. The CSOVs will have accommodations for 120 persons on board.
