There is mounting pressure on trying to keep the current industrial chemical agricultural model going when the laws of nature dictate that it is on its way out, no matter how much we try and deny or stop it. For example, as part of a project on plants’ natural defenses against pests, researchers at the University of Delaware College of Agriculture and Natural Resources found that chemicals emitted by corn plants attract birds that feed on fall armyworm caterpillars. I think it's about time we smoked this weed... With weed becoming a great concern to the farming community, and the fact that we are seeing signs of herbicide resistance in some action groups. It's always exciting to see more research being done on the potentials of frass, other than a soil amendment or biostimulant. With the rapidly expanding BSFL field, it gets concerning at times to see so much effort going in to the larvae as animal feed and not as much the frass. You cant have one without the other.
