✨ LGBTQ+ History Month ✨ In case you didn't know, February is LGBTQ+ History month. Last week, to kick things off, Lucy Morgan and Seba Dyer joined a panel discussion for Campaign LGBTQ+ on allyship in the work place - there was some really interesting takeaways, so we thought we would share some of them throughout the month. 👉 Allyship Tip 1: Check your privilege 👈 Recognising your own privilege helps you to be more supportive to all marginalised groups, not just LGBTQ+ people. It forces you to view things through a different lens, and opens your eyes to inclusion. Reflecting and recognising your own unearned privileges in different aspects of your life allows you to support others who do not benefit in the same way and be a better ally to those who need it! #lgbtqhistorymonth #inclusion #allyship #podtalent

Did you know? A recent study shows that 46% of LGBTQ+ workers report being closeted at work. It's time for change! 🧠 Men's Mental Health Month- We acknowledge the silent struggle many men face. Statistically, 1 in 10 men experience depression and anxiety, yet less than half seek treatment. 🎊 Juneteenth - This Juneteenth, we remember that 156 years ago, the last enslaved African Americans learned they were free. Today, Ari Shaw, Ph.D. represented The Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law on a panel at the Milken Institute Global Conferenece on The Role of Companies for LGBTQ+ Rights. We are beyond grateful to Briland Graves, Brian Patrick Fano Carandang, and Richard Ditizio for making this important conversation come to life. “In the United States alone, nearly 14 million adults identify as LGBTQ+. The LGBTQ+ community currently wields $1 trillion in spending power—a metric that is only expected to grow. As the community becomes increasingly represented in employee and consumer bases alike, what role should corporations play in LGBTQ+ rights? Allyship is more than just a word—it's an action. In honor of #PrideMonth, here are a few tips on how to be an #ally:     1. Educate yourself! Did you know that according to a study last year by myGwork - LGBTQ+ Business Community,  3/4 of LGBTQ+ Women Still Fear Coming Out at Work.  2. Speak up when you see discriminatory behavior and language.  3. Listen! I’ve heard many stories of discrimination, we need to be more aware of what happens around us.     Listen, Advocate, and Educate yourself and others as allies.
