Pomelo is a vibrant and large citrus fruit. Loved by many for its juicy and mildly sweet flavour. Some prefer the delicate taste of the white variety, while others enjoy the slightly tangier, red version. This versatile fruit isn’t just delicious on its own, but can also be added to various dishes. In a salad, for example, where it pairs wonderfully with ingredients like shrimp, a touch of spicy chili pepper and fresh, aromatic herbs. A must try! https://lnkd.in/eEnJkimQ

Korean foods for gut health - When I was a kid, adults were always telling me to eat Kimchi, saying, “It’s good for you!” 🙄 Back then, I didn’t really get it (I mean, it’s fermented cabbage, right?). But now, I finally understand why they wouldn’t stop! Kimchi is basically a superfood for your gut, like the Korean cousin of Greek yogurt and kombucha. But Kimchi’s not the only gut-friendly hero in Korean cuisine. Here are 3 other Korean pastes that deserve a spot on your plate (and in your stomach): 1. Korean red pepper paste (Gochujang) – Spicy and sweet, it’s got all the flavor and the benefits. 🌶️ 2. Seasoned soybean paste (Ssamjang) – Perfect for wrapping up in lettuce with BBQ, and your gut will thank you. 🥬 3. Soybean paste (Doenjang) – It may smell strong, but it’s packed with all the goodness. 💪

Here are some ways to enhance the taste of food: Add salt A pinch of salt can enhance the flavor of food. You can add salt when you add each new component to your dish. Use flavorful ingredients Bold ingredients like cilantro, pomegranate seeds, and chipotle peppers can add natural flavors and aromas. Toast spices Toasting spices in fat or a dry pan warms their essential oils and improves their flavor. Add herbs Add herbs early in the cooking process to release maximum flavor. However, save delicate herbs for the end so they don't lose their flavor and color. Use zest Add the zest of the lemon or lime in addition to the juice. The zest adds flavor without affecting the texture of the dish. Marinate Marinating meat before grilling or pan frying adds depth and flavor to the dish. Add acid Add acidic flavors like lemon juice or vinegar to reduce bitter taste. Add heat Add spicier ingredients like cayenne or red pepper to add some heat #food #foodworld #foodlover #hospitality #chef #chefworld #foodtest
