At Beyond My Tribe, we believe in turning challenges into opportunities and making a positive impact where it's needed most. That's why we've chosen Kuresoi South, Nakuru County, as the location for our very first BMT Community Centre and Incubation Hub. This site holds a special significance for us, as it was one of the areas worst hit by the post-election violence in Kenya. The community endured unimaginable hardship, with the site of our future centre being burnt to the ground. Since then, the people of Kuresoi South have lived in constant fear, with little to no major investment to improve their lives. But amidst the challenges, we see immense potential. Our vision at Beyond My Tribe is to build a united and equitable Kenyan society that values and embraces cultural diversity for sustainable development and shared prosperity. In Kuresoi South, we see an opportunity to bring this vision to life. Through our Community Centre and Incubation Hub, we aim to promote social integration and enhance cohesion, creating a more self-aware and accommodating society. With a focus on education and skill development, livelihood generation, and counselling and therapy programs, we're committed to bettering the lives of the affected population in Kuresoi South. Together, let's transform adversity into hope, fear into courage, and despair into opportunity. Join us on this incredible journey as we work towards building a brighter future for the people of Kuresoi South and beyond. #BeyondMyTribe #CommunityCentre #IncubationHub #KuresoiSouth #Kenya #SocialImpact

This #WorldDayforCulturalDiversityforDialogueandDevelopment, let's celebrate the vibrant tapestry of cultures that enrich our world. Locally-led development is key. Top-down approaches to aid and development often fail to consider communities' unique needs and cultural contexts. Adeso stands in solidarity with proximate leaders worldwide, as they reclaim and revitalize their unique cultural heritage. Traditional knowledge systems and cultural practices hold immense value and are best understood and implemented by the communities themselves. By embracing locally-led development, we can ensure aid and development efforts are culturally appropriate, effective, and co-created alongside communities. Tebtebba Indigenous UN CC:Learn The Indigenous Peoples' of Africa Coordinating Committee (IPACC) Center for Indigenous Knowledge and Organizational Development (CIKOD) Institute for Law and Environmental Governance Indigenous Information Network (IIN) #CulturalDiversityDay #InterculturalDialogue #UnityInDiversity #CelebrateDiversity #GlobalHarmony In the picture below, The Walking Classrooms of Marsabit. From 2014-2017, Adeso worked with communities in Kutura, Marsabit County, in Kenya, a village close to the Ethiopia border that is home to 950 pastoralists. For generations, Kutura residents have depended on livestock to earn a living. Since animals need water and pasture to thrive, communities move in search of these precious resources, which often means children and youth are unable to attend formal school. Celebrating cultural diversity, such as this, Adeso and the community created the Mobile Non-Formal Education (MNFE) Center to address this reality. Over the two-and-a-half-year project duration, the MNFE educated nearly 400 youth, 70% of whom were girls.

The future is bright
Certainly, the emergence of great men with great ideologies in a society spurs its socioeconomic growth. Not only that, their emergence sets a pedestal for a great renaissance to come. Today, our CEO had the honour to have a cup of tea with Farouk Kibet, the President's aide at Kenya's capital, Nairobi. While at it, he got enlightened on various governmental projects encompassing Sports Technology and Education. Farouk, a great sports and tech enthusiast, shared his sentiments on what Momi Foundation has been doing at the grassroots level. " I love how Momi Foundation is engaging the youth in not only sports oriented activities but also technology related stuff in the region. The government is geared towards empowering the society at large, and seeing such initiatives being spearheaded by our own is a great sign of a better future" he said. In line with this, he also shed light on the Chepsaita Cross-country,which he happens to be a patron. The event taking place in Uasin Gishu is a sure way of improving local talents whilst encouraging integration and synergy between communities. All runners spanning Kapsowar, Chesoi, Chesongoch, Kapcherop among other areas in Marakwet are encouraged to take part proactively in popularizing and participating in this event #betteringthefuture

Elevate Your Odoo With Me | Pioneering Odoo's Growth in Australia 🇦🇺 (like I did with Xero) | Co-Founder & CRO of WAO Group | Where Accountancy Expertise Meets Tech Innovation
People often ask me "Why don't you hire people from Australia?" The number one reason is this. We choose to make a difference. The WAO team is now 42 full-time staff. 6 based in Australia and the rest across the world. I don't get out of bed in the morning to make money. Yes, Marlon and I do what we do to provide for our family - we have 7 children between us. That's a BIG family with a BIG reason. But back in 2018, when we lost our unborn baby when I was 6 months pregnant, we had to make a tough decision. It really was a turning point for WAO. "Are we going to take a step back in the business and just stay with the two of us working together? Or are we going to grow the business so we can take the pressure off ourselves AND make a greater difference in the world?" We choose 2. Make a difference. It started with impacting the lives of our staff first. For me, it was about helping smart people in other countries who aren't given a chance to provide for their families because they aren't in Australia. For Marlon, it was a sort of homecoming - helping families in his original homeland, Sri Lanka. (Marlon moved to Australia when he was 8 years old) Later, once the business grew - as well as our global reach with staff in the Philipines, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, India, and so on - we started WAOImpact. We asked our staff to connect with their communities and find people they wanted to help, projects that needed funding, and volunteers - and now that's what they do. Every time, Shahinaz Sabry writes up what our team has been up to with WAOImpact projects, I always shed a tear. Not just because of the heartbreaking stories, but the amazing impact our team are making around the world. How blessed we are to have this opportunity in business and life to change the lives of these 200+ families on the other side of the world. -- PS - It only costs $2000 to send 9 of our staff to the other side of their country to impact 200 families and provide them with quality education resources and above all, hope and love. ⏱If you are interested in being part of our next project helping change the world, you don't even have to be a client of ours - just send me a DM and we will be in touch. Have an amazing day!

CEO/ Founder of LAMALO ESSENTIALS Agripreneur Agribusiness in value chain (Oil seed sector Uganda) Multiple Award winner 🏆 🥇 Co-founder of Mirembe Noble Cause Foundation
Embracing the teachings of the Baha'i faith has always driven my passion to serve humanity. And I believe I can serve humanity in various ways including the projects and businesses I do 🥰. Transitioning from Uganda to Canada was a leap of faith, leaving behind cherished projects that echoed with purpose. Yet, through the marvel of online connectivity, I've nurtured those endeavors, fostering a sense of unity that knows no bounds. Now, as I reflect on how to further merge my passions, I've embarked on a new journey: introducing the vibrant crafts of East Africa to the Canadian market. But this venture is more than commerce ; it's a channel for change, It's about expanding the reach of Lamalo Essentials while also supporting and simultaneously uplifting youth and women-led organizations that make hand made crafts in Uganda, empowering them to share their beautiful creations with the world. This endeavor isn't just about business; it's a heartfelt mission to reconnect with my roots, celebrate the richness of African culture, and build bridges of understanding in my new community. Each step forward fills me with purpose and joy, knowing that we're collectively weaving a tapestry of unity and empowerment. This is still a work in progress but the vision is big ..... I invite you to join me on this transformative journey of bridging continents, celebrating the mosaic of diversity, and making a lasting impact. Together, let's craft a future where borders fade, and opportunities flourish for all. 🌍💫 #BridgingCultures #EmpoweringCommunities #CraftingConnections##EastAfricanCraftsCanada
