Insightful post! As clinicians, it's crucial to continually challenge your understanding and broaden your approaches, especially when it comes to designing effective return-to-run or speed development programs. 🏃♂️💨 Integrating concepts like intermittent hypoxia into your rehab and performance protocols can provide new dimensions to your programming. Training under hypoxic conditions has shown potential to improve endurance, increase VO2 max, and stimulate adaptations beneficial for both rehabilitation and athletic development. 🌬️📈 I'd love to see more PTs and coaches explore these methods and share their experiences. It's through collaboration and innovation that you can advance your field and deliver the best outcomes for your patients and athletes. Who's experimenting with hypoxia or other unique techniques in their programs? Let's connect and learn from each other! 💪 #PhysicalTherapy #Rehabilitation #SportsScience #IntermittentHypoxia #ReturnToRun #ContinuousLearning

How many physical therapists have ever written their own return to run program for a patient? What about a speed development program to improve the sprinting ability of an athlete? It's a great exercise for PTs as it allows clinicians to put their own thoughts, systems and philosophies on paper when it comes to reconditioning their patients and athletes back to sport. This exercise also offers a chance for clinicians and coaches to see where their deficits are from a programming perspective. I know far too many PTs who have a toolbox of just TheraBand and basic bodyweight movements for rehab. I also know far too many strength and conditioning coaches who have a toolbox limited to that of the weight room. Recognizing your deficits as a clinician and coach is a choice, as is your decision to learn from them and correct them. I would be curious to see what other clinicians and coaches are doing from a programming standpoint as I get tired of seeing the same old programs circulated online (cough Delaware RTR). Feel free to DM or comment below your own sample programs. See the link below for my attempt at writing a return-to-run program as I detailed my sprint program in a prior post. https://lnkd.in/gE9ZafGc #training #physicaltherapy #coaching #learning #sportmedicine #sportsperformance #sportscience #sports #coaching #performance #sportsmedicine #physicaltherapy #rehabilitation #StrengthandConditioning #rehab #fitness #S&C #training #physicalpreparation #PT #health

We've had the good fortune over the last few months to meet with many operators across the USA to talk about the new #S3D. Facilities are struggling to accommodate some of the natural inefficiencies (space, single user capture, and safety) created by the surge of interest in #barbell-based training. Short of pickleball courts, nothing seems to be adjusting the facility plan more greatly! Its enlightening to hear stories of a much wider user demographic of interest for barbell training. Older, youth, beginners to advanced, many have been bitten by this cornerstone of strength training. But as with all fitness trends before, and those to surely follow- floor space consumption, user safety, and wide appeal remain critical factors in the planning and accommodation of users. Aktiv Solutions' new GYM RAX S3D was designed to solve for many of these important considerations, while enhancing the user experience itself. If you haven't yet had the opportunity to experience the performance of the S3D in action, get in touch with our team today! We're rolling out installations as fast as we can. And because this product is made in the United States, we have some pretty cool colorways already on their way to gyms everywhere! #barbelltraining #strengthtraining #getAktiv

Did you spot us?! Last night we were featured in Channel 5's "Heat Pumps: Are They Really Worth It?" A group of trainers and team members from local gyms, including MK Health Hub, jumped on the RE:GEN in our HQ demo studio, Sterling, to see how much energy they could generate. I have to say, it's a bit surreal seeing Alexis Conran, The Real Hustle legend, in the building but very cool nonetheless. In Sterling, we have 6 bikes. The group managed to generate 600Wh in 30 minutes. Imagine this in a full commercial studio with 30 bikes, running 5 sessions per day. If we reduce the output by 10% to accommodate for a more standard fitness level, that's a daily power potential of 27kWh - enough to fully power over 3.5 standard UK homes for an entire day! If you think your team could generate more or just fancy a challenge, drop us a message and we'll see what you can put down in the human power challenge. Energym® #humanpower #sustainability #gyms
