How do you digitize a huge object in full without compromising on detail? Answer: the workflow behind this beautifully textured scan. Capturing the wider vehicle with the rapid 2 mln pts/s, long-range Ray II, then scanning its more complex areas with the wireless handheld Leo allowed it to be turned into a 3D model with unprecedented detail. ✨ Everything from mirrors to roof elements and the truck’s bright colors have been faithfully captured. In the final #MBZIRC2023 challenge, one of our tasks is to lift objects from the decks of the ships ⛵ Today we want to highlight the great solution made by Jakub Organa: ships are being constantly observed by our vision devices, and based on the data they obtain, a special reference point is created in the navigation system 📝 In the picture, you can see examples of boats and their real-time image representations – the green arrow is of great importance here, as it depicts the current direction of movement 🌊 Although for a human this task may seem pretty simple, for a computer this is not the case! Lots of data need to be correctly analyzed for the system to work correctly and efficiently 🔧 Our models boast very high reliability in determining the boat's direction based on the acquired 3d model – this is crucial for the whole solution to work properly 💪

Today ElevatedVision is carrying out a stress test with Nira, using an excessively high polygon-count 3D draft Model (125 million polygons) to see how the platform performs, and boy does it handle well, very impressed with Nira's engine, their pricing and feature-set. If only it was as easy as putting in tens of miles of automated drone flight and several thousand overlapping photographs. When dealing with large scale modelling its a whole kettle of fish, compared to mapping a building or several! This isn't the final product, it looks like it hit every branch on the way down the ugly tree, but we just thought it'd be cool to share with our followers. We'll be removing it within the week and the final model will go live soon after, to be announced in tandem with our customer Castle Combe Circuit. Enjoy! First ...
