She follows Climate Tech opportunities at Kimpa and has been particularly interested in circular economy topics since several years.  Kimpa, an impact investment advisory firm that supports its clients in the deployment of their capital towards projects with a strong environmental and social impact. They have completed over 60 transactions, from pre-seed to Series D, in Europe and the US since 2020.   ⭐ Emma Falconer is a Principal at Planet First Partners, a 450M€ growth equity fund focused exclusively on the Climate Transition. Prior to joining the Planet First team in October 2023, Emma spent five years at Goldman Sachs, where she helped build the European energy transition investing strategy within Asset Management Private, investing both through both the climate growth fund and the broader private equity platform.   ⭐ Thomas Beaugendre is an Investment Manager at Demeter, with a four-year track record in the early-stage fund, driving investments in the ecological transition. He's deeply involved in the Agtech and FoodTech sectors, leveraging his Agroparistech engineering background.  Demeter, a key European investor in venture capital and private equity, supports the energy and ecological transition with investments ranging from €1m to €30m, targeting companies at various development stages, from startups to infrastructure projects.   Interested in the session? 🌱 Climate impact matters. Yes, it does, we all need to change our behaviors. To forward the agenda and to learn more about how we can help our customers in the #Cleantech business, Peter Alfvegren and Anchor Management Consulting took part in CleanTech Capital Days in Helsinki hosted by Cleantech Scandinavia. Here are some of our key take aways:  🌱 There are gaps in the financial system for funding early stage scaleups. We need more creativity! 🌱 More thorough impact assessment and calculations are needed to have productive discussions with potential investors. 🌱 The startups face high expectations and need to keep a focus on financial risk mitigations and business models. This takes time from the key product or service. 🌱 We have to do what we can to forward smart ideas and new business models that enables a more circular economy. At Anchor we are thrilled to have so many customers whose products or services are making a real difference for people and planet. We see that we make a difference in removing obstacles for growth by helping out with building the company - setting strategies, processes, structure and organizational build up, to enable our customers to focus on their core business. Finally, we are amazed by the brilliant innovations presented by Nordic entrepreneurs. There is definitely hope for the global climate challenges. I had a moment last night. A moment that has resulted from hundreds of thousands of moments. We won the ESG Project of the Year for MindSeed at the Digital Finance Function Awards from the team at GENCFO Community Our vision is for SMEs to be at the forefront of sustainable business practices, driving growth, enhancing team well-being, and protecting our environment. We aim for a future where sustainability is ingrained in every business decision, leading to enduring success and a healthier planet. To make this happen I believe it's truly only possible with a human-led, tech-enabled proposition. MindSeed is our tech enabler. I'm super proud of this award, partly because I still have to google how to do an xlookup 😂, but mainly because of the team of people who have contributed to this over the past four years.
